Cheerwine (1 Viewer)

I don't drink a lot of coke/soda/pop/whatever but I make a trek to North Carolina at least once a year to see family, and always make a point of bringing some of this back. I think it's only sold in NC, or at least, that's the only state I've ever seen it in.

Good stuff. Like a cherry coke, only not quite so.

Either way, :bag:

Cheerwine is the best thing you can drink when eating NC-style BBQ. I don't know what it is, but they just go together perfectly.

:banned:

Cheerwine and Sun Drop are good southern drinks. I haven't seen CW outside the Carolinas, but have seen SD in Tennessee. I like Cheerwine better.

Weird to see a thread I started 7 years ago.

Drink is still great. They've slowly migrated to Florida now.

There are 5-10 "Old Carolina" barbecue company restaurants in the Cleveland/Akron area and they have this Cheerwine. Only place I've ever seen it.

"City Barbeque", a chain in Columbus has carried it for a few years now. Tried it back in 2010 or so. Good, but not something I'd go out of my way for.

I know there is one in Stow on Kent Rd (rt59), I have eaten there several times. There is also one in Mentor that hired an employee of mine. I know there are more though just not sure where.

$30 for shipping to the west coast for a 12 pack of cans??

i see now where the profit center for Cheerwine is.

Cheerwine is available in Wegmans in VA. Never had it. Might have to try some.

Sun Drop is available in WI. Usually bring some home with me whenever I go visit the in-laws in Green Bay. Love that stuff.

thanks for calling
Originally from WI I would always bring back some Grafs 50/50 when visiting  . I heard that Canfield's bought it. Sure wish I could get it in the FL.

They had it at the one in Cincy too....only place I could get it while stranded in Ohio for a few years.

finally picked one up at Cracker Barrel recently. just polished it off.

delicious. there's a regional soda maker here, Baumeister's, that i like more... but i feel like if i'd grown up drinking Cheerwine my opinion would be reversed.
