My son might be interested if you will have him. We've been playing some recently. He's beat me a couple of times, not that it's hard to do. As a newcomer he is still prone to blunders.

Edit- I'll ping Cranks.

Hey @timschochet maybe you should send a group PM with a link to the thread or something. Weird that these @'s don't work but I think I've noticed that in the album countdown thread too. Like, I don't always get the notification.

Bump. 12 now in. That’s doable, but a few more would be better.
let’s see if anyone joins today, if not I’ll set pairings for round 1 tomorrow.

In!

Hopefully someone else joins as well so we keep an even number. (If not, as the last to respond, you can drop me …but I’d enjoy playing again.)

Nick Vermeil invite sent. question: I'm far from tech savvy but got Chess Time on my phone. have option to turn on game analyzer. Can I do this or does this give me help, which is a no no?

I’ve never used it. If it suggests moves during the game then obviously you shouldn’t. Using it after the game to look at where you went right and wrong is a great thing.

It doesn't actually provide any analysis at all. It does not suggest moves just allows you to model out what the board looks like as you choose moves for yourself and your opponent. For someone who isn't good like me it's very helpful.

ETA: I always leave it on when I have the choice. It also persists so if you are playing and it's hours or longer between moves it will help you remember what you intended to do. Only one line that you model out (the last one) persists. It's nothing but a visualization tool.

I just look at the ceiling. But it's not helping against Zow!

I’m seeing a few ceilings but Woz beats Chaz.
