Chester Taylor Rib Injury... (1 Viewer)

Vikings RB Chester Taylor had 17 carries for 99 yards before bruising his ribs in the third quarter against Chicago and eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark. He returned to the game, but did not carry the ball again. He also added one catch for 2 yards.

Seem to be getting conflicting reports.

Yahoo says:

Dec 3 Minnesota Vikings RB Chester Taylor (leg) left the Week 13 game with an apparent leg injury and was taken to the team's locker room.

A few other game-thread accounts mention a leg injury.

Did he suffer both? Did he get hit in the ribs and land awkwardly on his leg?

didn't he come back to the game?
no

To the best of my knowledge, the rib injury was simply misreported by some as a leg injury. He was walking uncomfortably right after he hurt his ribs, and some incorrectly concluded that the uncomfortable walk was due to a leg injury.

Correct...the announcers were speculating on the injury as they were unsure what it was initially. Taylor was checked on the sidelines and missed a few plays early in the game, then returned, and after trying to grit it out, apparently had to leave the game.
