Chris Borland (1 Viewer)

I remember Borland sitting out a few snaps, but I didn't realize it was this much. What happens when Bowman comes back?

LB wilhoite 100% borland 83% a lynch 94% a smith 77% brooks 17%
Hmmm. This is interesting. It would suggest that if Bowman comes back, Wilhoite might play more than Borland? That seems crazy with the way he has played, but certain coaches do tend to favor veterans at the end of the season b/c they don't make "rookie" mistakes. I dunno, was he injured for a brief time to explain why he didn't play 100% of the snaps?
and btw wilhoite is the green dot guy

Not sure why Norton had him ranked 34th this week, I started him anyway. IMO this guy should not be out of the top 10 in the weekly rankings until he cools off.

Can he be safely played next week with the Seattle scorekeeper?

norton had him 34th??

c'mon , man
Haha, yeah I had like 6 guys in Norton's top 20 this week based on my scoring system (Kuechly, Bradham, Marshall, Mosley, Moore, Telvin Smith) and we start 4 LB's. Borland was ranked 35th but there was literally no way I was benching him. Started him, Kuechly, Marshall, and Mosley and it worked great. Also helped that every other site that I checked had him top 3. Man he has been a flat out monster. His stats since Willis went out would translate to 174 solos and 41 assists over a 16 game season.

That's right, 174 solos and 41 assists LOL!!!

I am not sure how anyone can NOT rank him top 3 since he has started and proven he is a tackling machine. I'm pissed I didn't get in on the Borland terror run, he was drafted late in the two leagues I play in, and both of which my LBers are pretty deep and good, still hate missing out on a guy like this.

This guy might take me down by himself week 15 in the semis is there any truth to him always getting solos or do I need to pray for someone to beat him to the tackle.

I'd say neither with injuries to Denver and trevathan coming back hurts Marshall and Borland is gonna be in a dog fight I see a trade in the 49ers future if there smart if trade Borland more to get for him then Willis and bowman is still the best there

Chris Borland, ILB: +2.6

Breakdown: While the overall grade looks good for Borland, his best work came in the running game (+4.6) while he struggled at times in coverage (-1.9). He was excellent at diagnosing runs and shedding blocks on his way to eight run stops and a Run Stop Percentage of 26.7% that tied for the lead among inside linebackers this week. The issues in coverage generally came on crossing routes as he got lost a couple times on his way to surrendering all five passes thrown his way for 77 yards.

Signature Plays: Borland continued to show why he’s one of the league’s best at taking on blocks when he discarded left guard Gabe Jackson at the second level to get in on the tackle at the 14:16 mark of the fourth quarter. In coverage, the Raiders targeted Borland in the middle of the field and TE Michal Rivera lost him on a deep crossing route a couple of times, particularly the 6:12 mark of the third quarter when Borland over-pursued and Rivera hooked up for an easy 27-yard completion.

Fantasy Pros has him #1 this week but are they accounting for Seattle scorekeeper? I highly doubt it.

Injured in first half and tried to play through it but couldn't. Only way you're dogging him after that is if you traded him or missed out on him in your waivers.

So who's the LB to own in SF now? Brooks, Wilhoite, smith?

All 3 are on my wire, and it looks like I lost Brandon Marshall for the playoffs...

Yep, I lost Marshall and Borland this week too. Luckily I have good depth, guess Sio Moore likely won't be back this week either.

49ers just signed Desmond Bishop, really not sure what to think about it. I'll throw a couple bucks on him this week in my blind bidding and see what happens though.
