Anybody have any idea why this guy has been a dissapointment this year. I am sure it has to do with playing from behind all the time, but a goose egg this week is frustrating.

Bump! Larry, Jene can you give us some insight here. I too was expecting big things from him, It seems that Laurinitus had that one big game also, then dropped off. Who is swallowing up all the tackles. What is going on with the Rams D? Are they just trying to find thier Identity? Is Long the long-term answer or a bust?

It looked like Long was losing some snaps to James Hall (at least last weekend) as well. Hall started the game at RDE (for what that's worth) and has been seriously outplaying Long. One would have to believe that Chris Long is still a major anchor for this teams line in the future, but for now it just looks like Spagnuolo is trying to jump start the defense and possibly motivate Long to kick it up a notch.
