Except it’s a Scottish nameThat needs to catch on. Ice water in the veins.
Titans could have been playing to run out the clock instead of passing downfield.
Except it’s a Scottish name
Google says it’s Scottish either way - Mac or McIs it MacPherson? That's what I was wondering, too...
To be fair, at least if they draw KC, the defense shouldn't put up anywhere near as much resistance as the Titans did.Was a really bad game. 9 sacks, poor QB play by the Titans cost them the game. Cincy is going to get blown out next week since they will not be playing Tannehill.
One has to wonder, would the Titans have been better if
Henry
didn't play today? He did very little on his 20 carries. Obviously a better game from
Tannehill
would have helped, but he seemed 60% at best, which probably isn't better than
Foreman
There are no upgrades for QB in this draft. A couple might surprise of course but their better chance would be to trade for Russ. (Which won’t happen)TEN has all the pieces except QB.
They need to upgrade in the draft.
no, we really don’t have to, actually. Are you going to play constant deep thought contrarian on the board? We need less of that, actually. One has to wonder, would the Titans have been better if Henry didn't play today? He did very little on his 20 carries. Like, an awful lot. The wrong or contrarian with no evidence part, that is.
That was pointed out in real time back during the decision, many times, including by me.Is this where we point out where if the Titans had kicked the XP at 6-6, the game could have been 17-16 late, and Tannehill isn't throwing the game away late?
We saw history today. Whether we wanted to or not.I can’t recall a playoff game when a QB was sacked 9 times & threw a pick, and won.
But, the Chiefs offense would be a lot better than the Titans. To be fair, at least if they draw KC, the defense shouldn't put up anywhere near as much resistance as the Titans did.

I'm not trying to be contrarian just to do it.I only single you out because it seems like you’re wrongly self-assured an awful lot.
10 or 11 FGs should be enough to beat either the Bills or the Chiefs. But, the Chiefs offense would be a lot better than the Titans.
Same with the Bills. Whoever the Bengals play they will get a team with as much or more firepower than they do.
And good enough defenses to beat them.
Already beat KC this yearBut, the Chiefs offense would be a lot better than the Titans.

Agreed, but I think the Bengals would prefer to play that sort of game than the type they played today. But, the Chiefs offense would be a lot better than the Titans.

You actually hadn't. If you can find me a quote emphasizing him playing poorly more than one aside comment, then okay. But you really haven't. You've defended your early take on him numerous times, but no real mea culpa regarding his ####ty play today.I've fully admitted Tannehill played poorly
No, Vrabel did. Kick the extra point, they win.Uhm...no. TEN would have played better if Tannehill didn't throw THREE INTERCEPTIONS!
Henry didn't lose the game for the Titans, Tannehill did.
At this point, if they can even get a Matt Ryan or a Cousins…There are no upgrades for QB in this draft. A couple might surprise of course but their better chance would be to trade for Russ. (Which won’t happen)
I thought both defenses showed up. The offenses and play calling not so much.I’m feeling like not enough credit is going to the Cinci defense here.
The whole game goes differently if they kick, but yes it was a stupid decision. No, Vrabel did. Kick the extra point, they win.
Or go for Wilson/Rodgers.TEN has all the pieces except QB.
They need to upgrade in the draft.
I said his last pick was awful, and his first pick(while a great play by the DB) shouldn't have been thrown. I don't hold the 2nd INT against him at all, those quick bubbles screens that get tipped into the air can happen to anybody. He also had a perfect throw on the AJ Brown TD. More negative than positive though. You actually hadn't. If you can find me a quote emphasizing him playing poorly more than one aside comment, then okay. But you really haven't. Just noticing the tone and tenor. I'm sure there's a quote maybe to the contrary, but those following the thread know the difference.
That's fine if you want to hold contrarian opinions. Just be prepared to either have evidence back or not back that up. This certainly was a strike against, and doesn't change the narrative in the least.
Dak is by far the superior QB by almost all scouting and pro accounts.
Don't sweat itActually, @travdogg, I'm sorry. I'm in a bad mood today. Keep it up on the boards. Peace.
Or go for
Wilson
/
Rodgers
.
I can’t imagine too many people taking Tannehill over Dak. Except those not taking their meds regularly.I said his last pick was awful, and his first pick(while a great play by the DB) shouldn't have been thrown. I still think Tannehill is a good QB. He's had some great games(seasons really) with the Titans, this wasn't one. Still a top-12 QB in my opinion, just like Dak is. I prefer Tannehill, but I don't think its crazy to suggest Dak is better. I do think saying BY FAR the superior player is pushing it. Dak's more consistent sure, but his best hasn't been as good as Tannehill's.
I don't think Tannehill is all that's keeping the Titans from the Super Bowl. Its highly unlikely they can upgrade, unless Rodgers becomes available. Or Watson I guess, but I highly doubt Houston would trade him in the division.

To say their D-Line is BANGED up would be an understatement. I was really worried the Titans would just run for 7 yards a pop all day long.I’m feeling like not enough credit is going to the Cinci defense here.
