But this was a CLOSE game.Bradford threw 55 times. I wouldn't expect to see half those targets on most weeks.
Right, but they will be down quite a bit in most games..so they will tend to throw more than run.Bradford threw 55 times. I wouldn't expect to see half those targets on most weeks.
Thanks for the insight!!The Rams only had 4 wide receivers activated for the game and two of them were out at varying points of the game to injury. Bradford chucked the rock 55 times. Clayton did look decent today but he and the other receivers also missed some passes they should have had. Sam was throwing to the likes of Clayton, Amendola, Bajema, Fells, and Homanawanu. Among them Clayton was the best and probably worthy of an add but wow is this team needy of some pass catchers. Perhaps we get to see Fendi Onobun sooner rather than later too.The game announcer (John Lynch) did say that Clayton and Bradford had spent some time working together in Oklahoma(?) this offseason. They did seem to have pretty good "chemistry".
That's three of Mark Sanchez's games his rookie year.Bradford threw 55 times. I wouldn't expect to see half those targets on most weeks.
What about Laurent Robinson? He looked good pre injury last year and is still young, and was allegedly talented coming into the league...Mark Clayton has 1-2 of these games every season. I used to think he was going to be a solid player in the mold of Derrick Mason/Donald Driver, but he had plenty of opportunities with Baltimore and never became a consistent threat. I'd say he's closer to an Ike Hilliard/Antwaan Randle El type of player than a Mason/Driver. Nothing special. Just okay. The main thing working in his favor is the lack of viable options on the roster. The Rams have a bare cupboard at WR. Mason might compile decent stats solely because he's the only NFL caliber WR on the roster.
Robinson is okay. Gilyard has potential.Still, these are not above average NFL starting WRs. They probably aren't even average NFL WRs. Clayton is a former first round pick with 244 career receptions. He may be a mediocrity, but that's not such a bad thing when your only competition is journeymen and a 4th round rookie. What about Laurent Robinson? I actually think he's more interesting in redraft. In dynasty, he'll be replaced since he's not shown an ability to stick as a starting caliber WR.Clayton is very interesting from a dynasty perspective. He's proven can be a solid player early in his career than fell off the map, taking a backseat to Mason. He could be a flash in the pan like Earl Bennett or become a solid possession guy much like his old teammate Derrick Mason. I think Clayton's always lacked consistency, not necessarily talent. While I don't think he's the long term #1 there by any stretch, it's not unthinkable to see him being a #2 there. Amendola is really explosive when he gets the ball in his hands. I think he's got a nice future there as a slot guy.As a guy with a history with a real good looking up and coming QB like Bradford, I see no reason not to stash him for nothing.
He then gets eight more targets.Clayton gets one target and one drop week 2

Really?his rookie year he was the arian foster of week one
Scoring format and full draft results?I have the roster space and decided to stash him on the bench just in case.
