Clinton Portis - Questionable - SNF (1 Viewer)

Schefter reports Portis expects to play

After going through the past two days of practice, the Redskins fully are expecting Portis to play Sunday night against Baltimore. They’ll need him, too. Weather conditions are expected to be treacherous at best, with high winds, possible snow, and chilly conditions.

In weather like that, it’s more important than ever to be able to move the ball on the ground. Portis will help Washington’s running attack and its chances of winning.

Yep, Schefter just reported this on NFL Network.

Play him. Unless you have a no brainer upgrade over him this week.
Would you consider D. Ward or T. Choice to be "no brainer" Because that's all I got left.
I don't think either one of those are "no brainers", especially Choice with a tough matchup @ PIT. I think Portis will do better than most expect, he may be a little banged up but Washinton needs this game, plus this is a nationally televised game.

I was tempted to plug in Rhodes instead of Portis ... but you've made me see the light! :football:

Portis is hurt and playing the best defense in the league in a game that Baltimore needs pretty badly, too. It's hard to get excited about starting Portis. I'm starting Peterson/Chester Taylor over Peterson/Portis in a playoff game today, but it's not something I'm really excited about.

bostonfred you made the right call I think. Unless you have a great other option, or someone playing the lions, you gotta start Portis. :)
