when I was a kid I was afraid of clowns.

when I was a kid my dad dressed up like a clown for the children's hospital.

Watched WGN's Bozo the Clown show a lot as a little kid, so clowns never were scary to me.

Though I agree some can look creepy depending on the makeup.
