The Colts mom needs to be in that draft room saying "Put Milroe back honey, we have that at home"The Colts need to draft him.
Once a game is decided already-
Put Jones under center with Richardson and Milroe behind him.
I won't care the score, I'll just be entertained.
Trading a couple 7ths to add Malik Willis and Malik Cunningham to both line up at WR too should be plan B.
Time for Steichen to get creative

If Anthony Richardson could go top 5 there no reason Milroe couldn’t be a late 1st round pick.
That's some interesting logic by Mr. Benkert. All it takes is one to fall in love and he's certainly got an intriguing skill set (with a build much suited to running than ARich), but you'd really need to tailor a very specific offense around him as others have said.Kurt Benkert

Spoke with an NFL assistant GM about Alabama QB Jalen Milroe: “He’s one of the most intriguing guys in the entire draft. There’s a narrative that he’s just a running quarterback, but that’s way off...
His deep ball can be a major weapon at the next level. I’ve watched him a lot — he’s very capable in the pocket and carves up zone defenses well. There’s a lot to work with, and I like the kid.”
He's the Happy Gilmore of QBs. Can drive the ball a mile down the field, but can't putt a dump off pass to save his life.Jordan Schultz

I feel like alot of this buzz is a ploy to get a team to 'take a shot'. If anything, I think Richardson is a recent headline cautionary tale to avoid using a high pick. Not an endorsement.Kurt Benkert

Remember that QB who came into the NFL with no touch/accuracy in the short game, but developed it enough to win titles? He's the Happy Gilmore of QBs. Can drive the ball a mile down the field, but can't putt a dump off pass to save his life.
Wasn't there that guy who everyone wanted to be a RB? Something Jackson? Yeah, me neither
.
My main point is that for a late 3rd/4th round SF rookie pick, you could do worse even if he only ever starts 8-12 games in his career. Odds are he'll finish a QB1 those weeks on the rushing alone.

The flaw in this is that there’s just no way a QB with Milroe’s upside lasts until the 3rd round in SF, let alone late 3rd/4th. He’s a polarizing player, but his upside alone at a premium position in the SF league type will push him over most of the 2nd tier players at other positions. He’s one of those guys that if he hits, he’ll be worth a couple 1sts and if he doesn’t, it’s a wasted pick. There’s really not a lot of in between with him.

There’s just a lot on the tape to like—needs refinement and development and habit building—but tremendous talent for

Said the same thing. He could be the steal of the draft.![]()
Good point on the overall rating of the two. He is clearly not very high on anyone at that position, but Milroe’s upside is at least intriguing. Really shows what a bummer of a QB class this is for teams that have a need at the position. He has them both ranked quite low though. Relatively speaking their grades are not particularly good.
I don’t see it either. I could be wrong, but he screams bust.Matt Waldman is enamoured with him. Has Ward as his #1 and Milroe 2. I don't see it.

Yes, Jalen MIlroe will require development. Probably not an out-of-the-box NFL starter. But there's enough evidence of going through progressions under pressure with pocket movement, and the running ability is fo sho. Think of how Jalen Hurts ties the run/pass game together.
Yeah I think it will be league dependent. It's not the most common occurrence, but I've already seen Sanders drop into the mid 2nd and Milroe drop to the 3/4 turn enough times to say it's more than an aberration. I'm also in leagues where just about every QB drafted in the first 3 rounds of the NFL draft will be gone by the 2nd round so I definitely see your point and wouldn't say someone should go in expecting to get him in the late 3rd. It's just where I'm comfortable taking him and have adjusted a couple mocks now to grab him when he's there..

I'd be wary of looking at this evidence...assuming it's game tape. Deboer had to cut his offense (reportedly in half) for Jalen to execute at the level he did.Doug Farrar

IDK the NFL probably likes the added drama of the camera constantly going back to the green room to show some poor kid get passed on repeatedly and look increasingly dejected.Accepted invite to Green Bay for the draft, a pretty strong sign he's expected go early.

Based on those passes he reminds me of Daniel Jones. Who struggled to make anticipatory throws.Hayden Winks

No, it definitely wouldn't. His physical traits are very good. His issues are mainly mental and until he gets past that, if he can, he won't be a good NFL QB.No, but if they were ELITE, it'd make up for more of the other stuff.Mobility and arm strength are not Jones' problems.Daniel Jones if he ran 4.4, and had a bigger arm would still be the Giants starter in my opinion.Based on those passes he reminds me of Daniel Jones.
