Did he stop for coffee on the second try?Sorry, make that a 4.46 on the first run and a 5.0 on the second for Von Miller. Also saw that some MAC DE ran a ridiculous 4.44.

nice post mcintyre
Thanks guys, I appreciate it.BigTex, I think you're thinking of Ryan Williams, rather than Ryan Mathews.nice post mcintyreOnly one small thing, Mathews played for Virgina Tech not Fresno State.

Dang, was hoping my Texans would end up with him but he shot up draft boards in the senior bowl. This probably seals the deal that he'll be a very early pick now.Sorry, make that a 4.46 on the first run and a 5.0 on the second for Von Miller. Also saw that some MAC DE ran a ridiculous 4.44.
I would be stunned if he was drafted that early. Just don't see that happening. I'd say third round is best-case scenario, probably more like 4th or 5th the way those middling RBs always fall.So after performing very well at the combine, do people think that Roy Helu boosted his draft stock? I don't really see him slipping out of the 3rd round, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go as high as the middle of the 2nd.
Other than the fact that he measured 5'10 / 210, ran a 4.47 unofficial & had 10 more reps on the bench than highly touted OT Nate Solder?Anyone have any info on Vereen?
Doesn't have CB hips though.Prince Amukamara shutting up some critics with a 4.37 and 4.44 unofficially in the 40. Hate how that happens after the college season, where people start to second guess consistent, top performers. There's no way this guy should fall out of the top 10.
Eh, agree to disagree I guess. I thought he looked fine in the drills, and game tape says otherwise. Shutdown corner easily.Doesn't have CB hips though.Prince Amukamara shutting up some critics with a 4.37 and 4.44 unofficially in the 40. Deion and Mayock know more than both of us. Guy was way to high backpeddling and had trouble turning and running.Eh, agree to disagree I guess. That height without burner speed. Derrick Mason probably was a slot on draft day. Tall lanky guys are almost always lined up outside in our fictional draft world. Most of Cobbs highlight reels on youtube curiously have him leaping straight up for passes. You'd think he was four feet tall with great ups in some of those. Cobb's worth at least two roster spots maybe more to an NFL coach on cut down day with his tremendous versatility.Defensive players were impressive the last few days. Most of the offensive guys weren't IMO. If I were GM I'd call a meeting to discuss "what if we only draft defense?" with the scouts. Maybe not 100%, but the results of that discussion...eh well, just trying to make a point with this tangent-doubt he goes end of round one.Curious as to why Randall Cobb is being pigeonholed as a slot WR. The guy is 5'10" and 191. While that isn't a big WR by today's standards, Greg Jennings was 5'11" 192 coming out of Western Michigan. I think he's got a shot at going at the bottom of round 1, top of rd 2 to a team like the Packers or Patriots. Excellent returner, dynamic playmaker in the open field, and plenty of size to play WR. 84 catches in 2010 to boot. May take a bit to fully develop as a WR, but his return abilities would justify the pick while he does IMO.

Just saw this and realized I screwed it up. Doh! 4.50 obviously, not 5.0.Did he stop for coffee on the second try?Sorry, make that a 4.46 on the first run and a 5.0 on the second for Von Miller. Also saw that some MAC DE ran a ridiculous 4.44.![]()

No, actually, terrible posting.First, you have to know a thing or two about the defense that Amukamara played in. The Nebraska defense does not match a DB to a player, they give them a side of the field. Blackmon made 2 catches on 3 targets on Amukamara's side of the field that game. 1 was a mistimed jump by Amukamara, but otherwise he was in position. The infamous long TD catch, was actually not Amukamara's fault in the slightest and, in fact, shows his make-up speed. On that particular play, the Huskers were playing a 4 deep zone. The Huskers also use a unique brand of short zone defense called the Match Read Zone, designed to counter quick passes popular in the spread system. In this defense, Amukamara essentially plays exactly how he would if it were in man press coverage up until the receiver leaves his zone. On this long TD play, Amukamara stuck with Blackmon, then as Blackmon went upfield to leave his zone Amukamara released him to Eric Hagg, the deep safety and next zone. Unfortunately, Eric Hagg bit on the flea flicker fake, and wasn't anywhere to be found in coverage. Despite this, Amukamara is able to notice this and catch up to Blakmon in time to be with him for the catch, but then missed the tackle.'onehung said:'BeTheMatch said:Justin Blackmon ate him alive.Eh, agree to disagree I guess. Wrong. There is a whole youtube out there devoted to the matchup. I watched it. There were way more than three times where Prince was on him.
