Conspiracy Theorists UNITE! Refs just refuse to call penalties on the Chiefs (1 Viewer)

Goodell was at the game too. I’m sure he was pleased with the outcome of that game. Chiefs are his money makers. That’s all he cares about. $$$$
I can’t imagine anyone trying to defend the special relationship between the Chiefs, refs, and NFL at this point. The NFL is doing all it can to make an average KC team win games and get to the playoffs.
Yeah it's awful. Can't even watch chiefs game anymore because the amount of shannigans that are going on. We already know they are going to make it atleast to the AFC championship game. Only way they don't is if Mahomes breaks his leg and Kelce breaks up with Taylor Swift mid-season

Man, quit your crying .. Calls are missed throughout every game. That Chris Jones roughing the passer was a terrible call that went against the Chiefs and Atlanta went down and scored. Last week, Ja’Marr Chase pulled and dragged McDuffie down by his jersey and McDuffie ended up getting called for the PI but I don’t hear you guys crying about that? .. The Chiefs are great in situational football and their defense has been stout these first 3 games .. It has nothing to do with the refs .. They’e playing like crap but still winning because of late game experience that they have ..

I don''t buy this. KC has had calls go their way, and the Pitts PI was a brutal call. The DB never turned around.

But... KC is the 29th biggest media market. If the NFL wanted to slant towards any team for $$$$, the New York teams wouldn't be on like year 15 of complete suckitude. And CHI would have won a SB since 1986. And DAL would have made it out of round 1 of the playoffs every so often. And DET wouldn't have gone 1-15 for 20 years. KC is a pretty meaningless market to everyone not in KC. ATL is a top 10 market in population.

I have been to I don't know how many threads in this forum...but it's a lot....of people crying about how the league/refs favor the Chiefs....and still not one single person has answered this question...

HOW EXACTLY IS THIS PASSED ON TO 120+ REFS .....?

secret meetings in an alley.....?....TOP SECRET envelopes delivered to each ref....email....text.........zoom call...?

The instructions are probably given inside their bonus checks each week

Dallas doesn’t have to win in order to stay profitable. The small markets need propping up.

i don't believe that the NFL is actually behind it, but you gotta see that KC is on the receiving end of the good will a lot in situations that count. or ones that are on TV for all of us to watch. that London PI, oof. little birdie told me a ATL win would have netted a big loss for Vegas, so let me add that to the flames lol.

in the next drive for ATL, KC gets two penalty calls that were absolutely questionable at best. in fact the second of the two they couldn't even show the replay because either the ref called the wrong number or there was no penalty. again, this is against KC. so make up calls, if such a thing exits. (it does.) what was funny was colinsworth spent the next minute, into the commercial, and then again after the commercial trying to justify the calls. the booth absolutely saw that the calls in the last three minutes of the game, all of them, were odd.

just saying, they generally don't comment on refs, so there is at least smoke here. at minimum some refs are clearly personally KC fans.

You’re underestimating the face of the nfl being in KC. Mahomes. Like him or not, he and reid have transformed the chiefs into the show. And mahomes is perfectly vanilla for the NFL.

the Taylor swift angle is real. Her fans are billions of dollars. Gotta keep that gravy train rolling.

Who’s the face of the NY teams? Weirdo Aaron Rodgers and nabors? Chi is a rookie. Dallas has emperor palpatine. SD has harbaugh and LA has McKay and stafford? ATL has cousins? None of these guys outside of Arod carry anything close to the marketability of mahomes.

It is what it is. The patriots had the same thing going with Brady and co.

If this is true why did they call that awful PI on KC earlier in the fourth quarter when the receiver just ran into the DB? Seems like a perfect call to let go to ensure the Chiefs keep the ball that drive and win the game. Why leave it to later in the fourth quarter?

There is saying about conspiracy theories, and who they appeal to, but I have no interest in getting suspended...

I'm not reading this thread and usually make fun of people who cry about this...BUT...

The juxtaposition of this non-call versus the one that bailed them out to Cincinnati is pretty glaring.

It’s not a conspiracy theory. Those on the outside looking in on the dynasty teams/best players have always thought that they get all the calls. This goes back forever.

As far as a missed call here or there that isn’t in favor of the protagonist. gotta at least make an attempt at fairness ;).

The conspiracy theory comes into play when people(me) start bringing in things like Taylor swift. But of course the chiefs are getting calls in their favor. :pickle:

It's nonsense (not a Chiefs fan). When the Cowboys were winning back in the day, that's all you heard (the refs favoring America's Team so the NFL profits, blah, blah, blah)...and it still happens when they win a big game.

When you look for something intangible, and you look REALLY hard, you tend to find it. It's that simple.

So the NFL is suspending Derwin James for 1 game for his brutal helmet to helmet hit on Pat ‘Muth.

Folks on Xwitter ranting about how convenient that is for him to miss the game against the chiefs.

“They’re not even trying to hide it any more!”
—some delusional paranoiac conspiracy dude

This stuff is out of control. lol

Not saying you’re wrong, but it sounds like taking the easy exit.

I saw maybe the best comparison.....think of it like in boxing and you are fighting the champ....don't leave it up to the judges....knock his *** out and you don't have to worry about it....

I'm pretty sure I saw a Ref go to throw a flag once and another run right up to them and stop them while saying "C'mon man, it's the Chiefs"
The other Ref turned to him and replied "Yeah, you're right we can't call that on them"

-But Andy Reid is a likable Santa Claus figure and you never want to call penalties on Santa Claus

Falcons' fan. The PI call was a big miss, especially on the heels of the Cincy game. If that call was made then they probably win it but not guaranteed. There was an obvious facemask on that drive too that was not called. That said, the Falcons got a couple go their way earlier. At no point in the game did I feel they were the better team.

The Falcons have the same problem they have had since I have been alive. They struggle to block and tackle. Some will say they have good Oline but i don't know where that comes from. The Falcons have never been able to convert a 3rd and short or a 3rd and long. Short is stuffed and long, the QB is pressured and sacked. On defense, they can't stop 3rd and short. The Eagles would have won if they just did the tush push all game. The Falcons just hate fat people. You think of the best Falcons in the last 30 years and they pretty much weigh less than 250 lbs. Last 4 drafts, Pitts, London, Bijan, and Penix. Lindstrom is good but you have to back to Matthews, who is just ok, to find another good pick. They did reach for McGary a few years back. This is the same reason for 28-3 and the same reason we did not run the ball at the end of that game. They can't do anything when the other team knows what they want to do. That superbowl team was awesome because they were so good on 1st and 2nd downs. That team had the same flaw.

The Eagles fans threw batteries at him
Fixed
Maybe so, but I distinctly remember they threw snowballs at Santa Clause.

hey...just checking in.... I didn't get to see every play.....

did the refs/Big Rog/tay-tay/the dudes behind the grassy knoll/ the Area 51 dudes give the Chiefs any calls this week...?....asking for a friend....

For those of who believe there's a conspiracy; I'd like to know how that works. Does the commish huddle with the zebras prior to the season and discuss a strategy? Before the game??
Are the refs on LV's pocket?
And if the NFL is all about parody, why the hell would they do this?
I mean, the league is SO big right now, I don't know how many billions. Why would they wanna do this??
OK, they're greedy bastards so that's not valid.
Officiating is so subjective, if you run half the plays back you can see what could have been penalized. Bengals fan here, looking at the 2 pt try vs Balt, and they could have thrown maybe three flags. Facemask on Joe, holding on?? several players. Sure, the zebras don't want to throw a flag on the last play, right?? Oh, wait. Almost forgot about the PI in the, .......KC GAME!!
Point being, this debate could go on forever. I, like many of you, live for this ****, fantasy and sports wagering. But don't want to imagine it's all a farce.

Fingers in ears, "LALALALA"

Not too mention the Chiefs? Surely the NFL would make a ton more money skirting the rules or structuring things to favor a NY or LA team. You know, like baseball... :oldunsure:

Not even a full blown conspiracy could help either the NY or LA teams.:P

first rule is....we don't talk about it.

and getting this out there before the crying starts Sunday.....BUF has two OT in the top five of most penalized players so far this year....

Maybe it's the Swifties huddling with the zebras, but that wouldn't account for previous years. Nevermind.
