Continuous Rays thread: fun season (1 Viewer)

I don't think there is any chance in hell they put Ramos back out there. Maddon did everything but announce that after the game yesterday. He didn't seem pleased.

Maddon saying Ramos looked "uncomfortable" is about the most negative thing I've heard from him about any player.

@TBTimes_Rays: #Rays will give Ramos at least one more start, on Friday vs. #Yankees, pending possible Tuesday rainout

Bedard/Ramos to start off the Yankees series. :porked:

Love Maddon but intentionally walking the bases loaded with a rookie pitcher in a tie game in the 12th is about as dumb as it gets.

I don't think this is their worst start since their run started in 08, but it sure feels like it.

Gotta give credit to the Twins though. If the Rays were facing Bedard, he'd probably hold them to 3 hits and 1 run over 7 innings.

I caught Escobar tying it up in the 2nd, but something compelled me to change the channel. No regrets. They're still my team, but this is tough to watch.

And Maddon decides to throw the DoubleHeader 26th roster spot guy out there to put out the fire.

:wall:

I'd much rather have Bell than Lueke.

Oh well. Inside the park HR was pretty awesome.
Yea don't get that move at all. Bell saved that game for them Friday night. I literally cannot think of one positive thing Lueke has ever done.

Ended up being a good road trip. Hopefully they can string wins together at home now.

Bullpen will be better with Boxberger up.

If I tracked this right, through 3 innings and 3 batters, Archer's had 7 batters 0-2 and allowed 4 of them to reach base.

That can't happen if he wants to be successful.

Your tracking is correct. He nibbles too much for a guy with his stuff.

When they tied it, I turned to my wife and said they'll give up the lead the next half-inning.

At least they're consistent.

Told my wife when they were down 2-1 it was gonna be tough for them to come back.

So disappointed this season.

what's going on with price? Reports I read say that he is throwing well, but having some tough outings. Amazing K/BB ratio. Too many strikes, perhaps? Allowing for more contact?
