I may have went to my last baseball game of the year last night in Clearwater. Gorgeous night. I'll probably make it out to a rays game at some point but I just prefer to watch them at home so much more. 

 
4-2 after a week! Hey that's pretty good!

few things: 

- offense seems ok. They got dominated a few times but Souza looks a lot better. Really took that giant loop out of his swing. Mallex is disruptive when he gets on. Missed that these past few years. No real complaints with the offense this far. 

- defense looks great. Lot better. Miller looks good at second and Beckham looks sharp at short, which is good, because he can't ####### hit at all. If Duffy ever comes back it will really help things. 

- SP has been solid. Archer looks amazing, but if they are going to compete it seems like Odorizzi and Cobb will have to be more than just ok. Snell just isn't ready yet and Andriese is great in the pen but an awful SP. I wonder how quick we will see Hu or De Leon from Durham if they're in it. 

- it took them to game 11 last year to win their 4th, so huzzah 

 
Quite the bullpen again this year. Farquhar is one of the worst pitchers I've ever seen and they just keep rolling him out there like he doesn't suck. 

Those first 7 games were fun I guess. 

 
KK came by our office today to talk to our national sales group...and take pics in the lobby. Every hot young chick we employ dumped their boyfriends/fiancees simultaneously...until he left an hour later.

He got chewed by the ump a few times too. That was annoying. I agree though, these guys have to constantly get through 6 or 7. What sucks is I am not sure there is even one reliable arm down there other than colome.

Hunter has looked pretty good. Stuff wise. Other than him though it's a toss up. 

With Erasmo starting today I can't decide if I should sit close so I can hear Miguel Cabrera's bat or in the left field bleachers to increase my chances of getting hit in the face. 

 
Fun game. Great seats for $53 a piece a few rows up on the first base side. 

Erasmo was pumping strikes. I enjoyed watching him and Sucre work. They were definitely on the same page. 

I get pretty spoiled watching the Cubs and Rays play defense all the time. The Tigers are just brutal defensively. 

Also 99% sure I passed Kate Upton in the concourse. Gorgeous 6 foot blonde in a Tigers cap with a police escort. With the wife so I couldn't turn around for a closer look. 

Me: I think that was Kate Upton!

Awesome. We saw Longo's playmate wife at a spring game. She is gorgeous. God bless him. 

Good chance Erasmo is better as a starter. Kind of surprised they didn't let him and Andriese duke it out. 

 
Upton was in the Tampa airport early evening drawing a lot of attention...same cap, with a boxer that was wearing 5K worth of bling.

 
God this team would be so damn good if it had a bullpen. 

I don't ever need to see ####ing Danny Farquhar pitch again. 

 
Seems like the dinger strategy they were attempting to employ last year is now paying off.  Leading the bigs I believe.  Andriese to the DL won't help.  He was pitching well.  Maybe Snell can figure something out and come back up to help out at some point.  Find a bullpen piece from somewhere and things could get interesting.

Andriese doesn't sound too serious and De Leon could fill in for a while. 

I really like Hu in the pen. Not sure why they don't leave him in the majors. His change is nasty. 

 
Heading to the doubleheader tomorrow against the As.  Sitting behind the plate and net in 102.   :oldunsure:

Kiermaier gone, likely for the season. He has to start being waaaaaaay less reckless. Just stupid.
