The Cowboys remind me a bit of the Giants team that won the Superbowl a couple years ago. Before I am completely roasted, I do not think the Cowboys are Super Bowl bound.
I predict Dallas wins 34-31.
Dallas beats the Lions.
Dallas loses to the Saints.
Romo starts to change some incorrect perceptions of him.
I like reading your posts about the Cowboys. I'm interested in reading about what similarities you see between this and the Giants team.
Thanks. Both teams had reasonably high hopes going into the year in question.
Both lost games in weird and wild ways.
Both have QB's with perception problems. These 2 QBs are either heaven or hell.
Both teams were talented yet written off by the masses. *IF* Dallas got hot and their defense improved they would be a dangerous team to play against.
Both relied heavily on passing the ball.
It just reminds me of the game where the Giants went into Dallas and beat the favorite Cowboys when everyone had written them off.
One last thing on Romo, I get that the average fan doesn't watch the Cowboys as much as I do and rely on "highlights" and what the media yaps about. I will also say that I have also been critical of Romo at times. Now having said all that, Romo is playing the BEST I have ever seen.
-His INT's are way down.
-Is playing behind an atrocious O-line aside from Smith and Kosier.
-His 4th Q passer rating is out of this world.
My favorite thing after the last Giants game was listening to the morons on NBC saying again that Romo couldn't win the big game. He threw 4 TD's, his team put up 30+ points and no turnovers. Yet it was Romo and not our putrid defense taking the heat. Talking negatively about Dallas helps ratings and sell trucks and viagara.
I hardly see the Giants as world beaters. This game will come down to wire, be close and be an entertaining game.
