While I agree the offer Jerry has made appears to be fair, I have to reference Dan Patrick this morning... had a lot of dashboard time driving to a youth hockey tournament and they covered the cancer part quite well.

Turning your superstars into beggers won't bode well for your franchise and team morale. Jerry has f'd this up more times than not.

I think Micah will be active in the game because he hates the Eagles and will show he's bigger than Jerry's BS but it's seriously ridiculous.

I'm not seeing it this way. I think the agent should have every right to represent his client in contract talks and Jerry saying he was wiling to make Parsons the highest paid non-QB is empty talk without knowing the terms. For instance knowing how Jerry prefers to structure deals he most likely was trying to make Parsons contract year(s) longer then he'd ever recommend Parsons agreeing to take.

From everything I've heard the butthurt person here is Jerry. He's the one that won't even let this get to the point of doing of discussing this with agent which anyone acting in a professional capacity should be doing. The only time Jerry's had any contact with him at all was to say I'm sending over the terms of the deal I agreed to without you around to which the agent, rightfully so, said no thanks because we have not negotiated anything. How you are seeing that as a butthurt agent blows my mind.

You don’t accept a starting point in negotiations that might be too low, or too draconian in terms. You’d be at a big disadvantage.

I don’t know if that’s the case, but it could explain why the agent told him not to send over anything. If I was Micah’s agent, I’d tell Jerry basically the same thing. “I’m not here to write up the paperwork on a deal you thought you negotiated with my client. I’m his agent and will negotiate in his best interests.”

This definitely sounds to me like Jerry is trying to get over on Micah. @Terpman22 mentioned above, this frels like the big brother trying to rip off little brother, and getting pissed he isn’t getting away with it.

Not the players consent, the agents consent. The SRA gives the agent exclusive authority to negotiate contracts. I'm really not sure what Jerry Jones is playing at here. Either he knows the CBA rules and simply doesn't care, which is a bad look for him, or he doesn't know the rules of the CBA which as an NFL GM, is an even worse look.

Every single year and off-season, Jerry, trolls, the media and the fans, and people lap it up every single time. Nothing has changed except for the weather.

I just can’t get emotionally excited about a television show and it’s paid actors. Especially when those paid actors (Parsons and Diggs) are laughing it up with the local media and don’t seem to be remotely upset about anything.

The entire narrative and story is media driven on the fuel of an elderly out of touch white dude not giving money to a player that’s……. Currently under contract.

This is an interesting and extremely valid point. Jerry Jones is THAT guy that is also vindictive in people who he feels "wronged him" and i'm sure he feels that way about this agent with him having to give both Dak an extension after the Watson stuff, but that it is ALSO THE SAME AGENT repping Micah.

I'd be willing Jerry went out of his way to try to initiate contract talks to actually cut this agent out, now that I know this information.

All businesses are subject to what was the Wagner Act, which established the right of workers to organize unions and collectively bargain with employers. Before you think that legislation was just a leftist idea, the left had to give up certain types of strikes and organizing. In some areas, the Wagner Act defanged the organizing and collective power of the economic left. The main reason Roosevelt wanted it (and of course it veered left in its final form) was because capital holders and unions were having intense standoffs and nothing was getting produced. You can't have a country where everything to do with production has ground to a halt.
