Guy was a professional soccer player in Brazil, found with his head nearly decapitated and genitals cut off. 

Turns out, he was at an 18 year olds birthday party, went back to the house of her and her family where the party continued. Snapchat photos show him in bed with the woman's mom (who appears sleeping in the pictures) on the night of the murder. He sent a Snapchat to friends saying he was going to eat the mom at 817, and another that says ate the mom at 834. 

The father confessed, alleging he raped the woman, and him, his wife, and daughter have all been arrested. Police are also searching for 3 other men who were at the party as they are of interest and may have participated in the beating.

Really interested in what actually happened here, anyone else following this one? Any opinions? 

 
Nobody else is intrigued by this story? My understanding is professional soccer players in South America are considered Gods. This story has been published in every major publication I can find, clearly people are interested in it.

One of a few things could’ve happened:

1) Husbands story is true, although I’m slightly skeptical he raped her in a house where her husband and buddies were sleeping. Doesn’t sound like a well thought out plan.

2) It was consensual and the husband walked in and flipped.

3) This is the angle that really intrigues me; it was consensual, the wife realized she was about to be busted, and claimed she was being raped. 

I’ll be following along on this one. Okay, good chat!

I don't know anything about the story, but the thing that really leapt out at me is the commitment to keeping his friends updated on snapchat.

8:17: hey, i'm going to do a thing that rhymes with schmunnyschmingus with this lady.

8:24: ok, i'm done now. I did that.

 
I don't know which theory is correct, but I'm tempted to say he got what he deserved regardless. Never rub another man's rhubarb!

I'm almost there with you.

IDK if there are many punishments deserving of death, especially in the way this guy met his demise, but sleeping with another man's wife, in his house, while he is in the house nonetheless.... Well, you're playing with fire. Almost Darwin award winning stuff right there. Even his friends in the Snapchat said he was going to get beat up.

Doesn't the person actually breaking a marriage vow deserve more severe repercussions than a stranger?

 
They also keep referring to the accused as a businessman, yet I haven't seen one reference to the line of business he was in. IDK about you guys, but I'm not very familiar with many businessmen that have the stones to cut off another mans genitals. Supposedly the guy is rich and the wife is a smokeshow.

While this may be true, this guy appears to have been a relative nobody.  28 appearances in 2014 for a poor Botafogo team, who were relegated from the top division, and 10 scattered appearances off the bench during 2013-2016 for Botafogo and Sao Paolo.  Appears to have spent the last few years as a middling backup in the second division.  

Basically, this is the equivalent of an NBA G League player who had a cup-of-coffee stint on a bad NBA team for one quarter of a season; it's not Lebron or Steph Curry getting killed here.

Still an interesting, odd story.

If this is the case and it was just a prank, gotta feel bad for the guy. Now that they've arrested 3 more people, we'll get the finger pointing and possibly find out the truth.

Did you read the whole article? The wife said he had his ‘member’ out and was rubbing it on her. This doesn’t seem like a prank.

Yes, I read it. The allegations from law enforcement imply the wife is lying as part of a cover-up - I read in another article that they got the entire group together (that was at the house) the following day and tried to make sure everyone had the same story. The Google translation tool kinda sucks sometimes though, so it can be difficult to fully understand what some of these Portuguese articles are saying.

IDK, if it was simply some guy raping this woman and the husband reacting as he did, I don't understand the reasoning for a whole cover-up. 
 

They've detained 3 other people, plus there were others at the house too... Too many people, truth will come out, I'm curious to hear what it is.

 
So who is dead ...the husband or the soccer player?

Who allegedly did the killing?
