So you start a thread asking someone to convince you to hold, yet also say there's nothing out there anyway...AS someone who jumped on the bandwagon, I am struggling whether or not to drop him. Problem is, only TE's left are horse ####. Can anyone convince me that he has any value and that I should hold? Considering my options, I don't have much of a choice.
2rded.Frisman Jackson syndrome.
If this was yahoo answers, i'd give this post the star as my favorite answer.Kitrick Taylor said:While it is possible he may go Frisman Jackson, he did hurt his foot week 1. He's also playing behind Jeff King right now. In a redraft league, I'd drop him. I think he's flashed enough talent between the preseason and week 1 to be a hold in dynasty.
I thought he looked great in pre-season and was talked about a bit locally last year. I'd hold if you have space in Dynasty.Kitrick Taylor said:While it is possible he may go Frisman Jackson, he did hurt his foot week 1. He's also playing behind Jeff King right now. I saw the Panthers-Chargers game and he looked awesome. The announcers were gushing over him and saying he had Antonio Gates-esque talent and it was difficult not to agree. That's the reason to hold on to him, not just because he had one good game. And btw, dynasty leagues and keeper leagues are different things. In keeper leagues, you "keep" a certain number of players every year. In dynasty leagues you keep 'em all. I'm in leagues with 45 man rosters, for example. The judgement on whether to hold on to him really depends on the size of your roster. Are up and coming TE's typically kept in dynasty leagues? Unless the keeper rule is pretty deep, I wouldn't think a TE who had one big game would be keeper-worthy. Seems like much ado is made over a player who most certainly would be a nice role player on a team, but not a stud. Wouldn't you target studs for dynasties?Admittedly, I've never been part of football dynasty leagues. I thought your keepers were capped at 3-4 players or so. I'm having trouble thinking that Rosario is one of those 3-4.
Just because he was a Week 1 stud doesn't mean he is destined to disappear. All oranges are orange but not everything that is orange is an orange.A week 1 WW stud disappears? No way. That never happens EVERY YEAR.
i would tend to think that the teams that carolina has played the last 2 weeks might have something to do with his lack of production.....the bears and vikings tend to hold teams down like that.....delhomme had 128/191 yds and 0 TDs. but then again it could be the jackson syndrome........Frisman Jackson syndrome.
:( + on a run-first team.+ Steve Smith back.Probably will have a few more good weeks this year, but in a redraft he'd only be on my roster if it's a big league and/or deep rosters. Definite dynasty prospect. While it is possible he may go Frisman Jackson, he did hurt his foot week 1. He's also playing behind Jeff King right now. In a redraft league, I'd drop him. Deep....Very deep...The shark move here was picking him up off the WW and trading him immediately. By doing this I was able to add Hasslebeck as my backup to Romo. Sure, maybe I was trading the next Gates away, but I already had 3 TE's and nobody to back up Romo. I went with the safe bet and let someone else take on the risk...Just because he was a Week 1 stud doesn't mean he is destined to disappear. All oranges are orange but not everything that is orange is an orange.A week 1 WW stud disappears? No way. That never happens EVERY YEAR.
But you can also say that SD has given up the most pts to TEs so far this year.Duke1948 said:i would tend to think that the teams that carolina has played the last 2 weeks might have something to do with his lack of production.....the bears and vikings tend to hold teams down like that.....delhomme had 128/191 yds and 0 TDs. but then again it could be the jackson syndrome........Frisman Jackson syndrome.
come on guys, if the QB does not throw TDs, or for that matter have time to get off a pass(minny game)........But you can also say that SD has given up the most pts to TEs so far this year.Duke1948 said:i would tend to think that the teams that carolina has played the last 2 weeks might have something to do with his lack of production.....the bears and vikings tend to hold teams down like that.....delhomme had 128/191 yds and 0 TDs. but then again it could be the jackson syndrome........Frisman Jackson syndrome.
