Foot injury won't keep deep threat from Raiders game

P-I REPORTER
KIRKLAND -- It took all week, but the Seahawks finally got some positive news on the injury front Friday: Darrell Jackson practiced.
Not only that, Jackson and coach Mike Holmgren said the team's leading receiver will play in Monday night's nationally televised game against the Oakland Raiders at Qwest Field.
"I'm feeling all right," Jackson said after his first practice of the week. "Good enough to play on Monday night, and give our team a little more of a chance to win."
For a team playing without All-Pro running back Shaun Alexander and Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, Jackson's presence is a must if they are to beat the Raiders and reach the halfway point with a 5-3 record.
He sat out Wednesday and Thursday to rest a sore left foot, which was injured when Chiefs cornerback Ty Law rolled into his leg on the Seahawks' third play last week in Kansas City.
Jackson has been a rare constant in the Seahawks' inconsistent offense this season, catching 36 passes for a 16.3-yard average and six touchdowns.
A closer look reveals more of what Jackson has delivered:
# Twenty-one of his receptions have come in scoring drives.
# Twenty-five of his 31 receptions in the past six games have produced first downs.

# Five of his receptions have been for 40 or more yards.
# Four of his six TD catches have covered 72, 49, 49 and 42 yards.
The long ball is the most surprising because Jackson isn't considered a speed receiver who can beat an opponent deep.
"We're emphasizing it a little bit more," Holmgren said. "When teams play us, we throw a fair amount of medium-range throws, so we kind of sneak up on them when we go deep."
WHAT'S THEIR LINE? With the status of right tackle Sean Locklear (sprained ankle) and left guard Chris Spencer (sore knee) expected to be game-day decisions, Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack will start at left guard and Tom Ashworth is the likely starter at right tackle -- for the second game in a row.
"I had hoped Spencer would practice a little bit today," Holmgren said, "but they kept him inside.
