Bob Griese may have started this tradition of great NFL QBs from Purdue. NFL HOFer Griese was Heisman runner-up to Spurrier and he was the QB for the perfect 1972 Dolphins.

Like the Purdue QBs mentioned above, he doesn't have a rocket arm, but he may have more important qualities, such as pocket mobility, good decision making and accuracy.

He looks pretty good. Maybe with some experience he can be a good backup, possibly even a starter. May as well run him out there the rest of the way, see what he's got going.

David Blough completed 24-of-40 passes for 205 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions Sunday in Detroit’s Week 14 loss to the Vikings.

The undrafted rookie was victimized for four sacks, resulting in a loss of 44 yards. After a surprisingly competent debut against the Bears on Thanksgiving, Blough came plummeting back to earth with a miserable Week 14, looking jittery in the pocket, struggling with accuracy and holding onto the ball way too long. The bulk of his yardage (146-of-205) came with Detroit down big in the second half. He badly overthrew Kenny Golladay on his first INT before misfiring on a deep heave to Logan Thomas for his second interception, which came on the Lions' last play from scrimmage. Blough avoided the shutout by zipping a 10-yard bullet to Golladay on fourth-and-five with 2:09 remaining, giving Detroit its only touchdown of the afternoon. The Lions will take a six-game losing skid into next week's home matchup with Tampa Bay.

Yeah. Just picked them up. Gonna play them over the Jets since league rewards pretty well for low point totals.

I like Blough as a person, he and his wife (Olympic hurdler) are awesome. But as an NFL QB he's like that kid the Titans rolled out last night, a Josh Johnson over the last decade plus type player.

Plausible deniability for *wink* *wink* we're not tanking, we're out there competing every week. Sad thing is the athlete is competing his *** off, trying to keep the dream alive. But the front office/coaches know its a ruse.

David Blough will start in Week 18 against the 49ers.

Colt McCoy is done for the year because of a concussion, giving Blough his second start with the Cardinals. In his first, he threw 40 passes but managed just 222 yards. He found the end zone once. Blough peppered Trey McBride with targets, putting him in play as a streaming option at tight end. Other than him, this is a big hit to the fantasy values of the rest of the Arizona players for Week 18.
