While I couldn't tell you much about his talents, it's hard to ignore the numbers that David Hawthorne put up last season while subbing for the injured Lofa Tatupu.
93 tackles, 23 assists, 3 sacks, 3 interceptions
My question is, is this a kid that will be able to continue to contribute in the stat sheet now that Tatupu is back from injury? Can he be relied upon as a long-term investment in dynasty leagues? Were his numbers a product of talent or just opportunity? I admit I didn't watch any Seahawks games last year, so I don't know if he's someone that will be looked at to start for the next few years or if he's more of an injury-replacement who benefited from a lot of tackle opportunities.
I'm in a 16 team dynasty league with 40 man rosters and am trying to figure out how much money to spend on him, and for how many years to lock him up. Thank you to those who can offer up some input.
