Since the New Orleans Saints offense has gone off the past two weeks, and with Brees playing really well, do you think Patten will be a solid 3rd wr the rest of the way? He seems to have the 2nd wr position locked up (behind Colston) and his schedule is easy the rest of the way. Do you think Patten can get into solid WR2 status the rest of the year?

Week 6 8 rec 113 yds

Week 7 2 rec 29 yds

Week 8 5 rec 109 yds

Week 9 4 rec 81 yds 1td

Seems pretty solid.

No, he sucks... otherwise Tom Brady wouldn't be great, because Tom has always put up monster stats with scrub WRs. None of his ex-WRs could ever be any good. Just ask a Pats fan  In reality, he's a risky play, because they spread the ball around a lot. But he is getting open and playing well, probably as good as any #2 FF WR right now.

I have him. So long as Brees is going to be throwing it a hundred times a game, somebody besides Colston & Bush has to catch them and Patten looks like the third option.

So I'd say he's probably around WR30 right now.

If you look at what he has done since the Saints shifted game plan, he has been really good. I see no reason why he won't continue to be really good.

I'm pretty sure what you're really asking is whether you should pick him up off the WW. I say yes in a PPR league, and only yes in a non-ppr league if you have a roster of 24+.

He's my new WR3 in a 10-team non-PPR due to inuries.

I think he'll be pretty solid in that role. He's not gonna save your season, but is a viable starter. I don't think I could name more tha 20 WRs that are definitely a better play than Patten at this point.

if Brees throws for 450 yards against freaking Jacksonville, what on earth is he going to do to the Rams? esp if Bush is dinged and the running game isnt there?

FBGs definitely has him a bit lower than id expect this week. I was in the Lance Moore camp a month or so ago. But the stats dont lie. Patten has been a nice play and seems to me he will continue to be so for the foreseeable future with a nice schedule and the overall Saints resurgence.

anybody with insight into Sundays disappointing results? thought the Saints would go crazy against StL and that Patten would reap some of the benefits..

no doubt. all those yards by Brees and not much for Patten. he was pretty consistent the past few weeks unitl the St. Louis game. don't know what happened...

I don't get it.The guy posts a legitimate thread to discuss a player, who over the last five weeks, has emerged as the #2 WR in an offense that averages more pass attempts per game than any other in the league. Additionally, one who could present quite a bit of value based on the fact he's probably under most people's radar.I don't see anything in his original post about picking him up off of the WW or trading for him. Did I miss something? How bout you go ahead and tell us all exactly what topics we can and can't be discussing around here, boss.
