DeDe Dorsey (1 Viewer)

Per Roto:

Bengals RB DeDe Dorsey was taken off the field this morning on a cart.

Dorsey left the stadium on crutches, and the Bengals haven't updated his injury status. The Bengals' depth chart behind Rudi Johnson is muddled, but Dorsey was thought to have a chance at the No. 3 job. This injury could obviously change that.

The link had an error and did not work. Will try to get a different one.

I have heard different reports about Chris Perry so far, the first one was that he was 100% and looking like his old self, very quick, cutting sharp and making some great catches, then I heard he is not and was only running at about 80%. Any cincy homers have some insight here?

Here is another report on it:

http://www.daytondailynews.com/s/content/o...nbupE4PTZNdQgNG

And the report says:

C. Trent, at minicamp, writes that DeDe Dorsey was carted off the field. No word on the extent of the injury; or if it's just a cramp (though that's rarely an issue that requires the cart). This, again, puts a wrench at running back. Kenny Irons arrived at camp, but not running drills with the running backs. DeDe Dorsey was projected as the third or fourth back, depending on Chris Perry's health -- which Chick Ludwig says isn't 100%.

If Dorsey's injury turns out serious, if Perry isn't 100% and likely Irons not playing this season, makes you wonder: Do the Bengals sign Shaun Alexander?

Not that this is a shock to us given his reputation, but I'd thought all the reports this offseason were that he was 100%.

I've never been impressed with Ludwig's writing... doesn't seem like he really knows football to me. I don't know about how good his sources are though.

Is Kenny Watson still on the team? I didn't hear of him going anywhere else but I could be wrong.
He is and probably considered the #2 guy atm. He is also over 30 though and Perry was pretty good when he was healthy, which has not been very often. I have read people saying to avoid this situation, and that may be a good idea, but I see Cincy as a powerhouse offense and when Rudi comes back and is unproductive again, you never know who may end up starting.

Yeah, as a source and writer, I don't like Ludwig as much because he seems too much of a fanboy. He's good on interviews and such, but I agree on the writing part.

At this rate the Cinci RB depth chart will become clear quickly, just as it does every year. Maybe the FO can look into their training staff that attends the RB's because it's not an official season until one of them goes down.

Good post, because the misdiagnosis of Chris Perry always ###### me off. He himself wasn't too happy about it either.

How long before Watson goes down? No way Rudi lets the backups stay healthy through training camp. Any truth to the rumor that DeDe slipped on peanut butter guts?

Supposedly rumor has it that Tonya Harding was seen hanging around the area. Easy to slip in un-noticed since everyone has their attention on Chad and all the other distrations.
