Demaryius Thomas lawsuit (1 Viewer)

I hadn't heard about this and do appreciate the OP posting. It does lower his dynasty value slightly in my view, but not too much yet. Mostly this is now something that bears monitoring.

The first one was a civil suit. This one is going to trial.
Going to trial?? From the linked article, the lawsuit was just filed yesterday. It will be a long time before this case would go to trial, if it even makes it to that stage.

Does anyone have a link that actually explains how DT is being charged? No offense, but the link above talks about Perrish Cox and it sounds like most of the filings are against him (save for perhaps the aiding and abetting portion).

This is all I got. Not sure where the OP is getting that Thomas is being charged criminally. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/06/10/cox-thomas-sued-for-sexual-assault/

Essentially Cox and Thomas are being sued for the night in question. Kinda like the O.J. thing, the case can't be proved in criminal court but in civil you don't have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. Plus since the baby is Cox's, we can assume there is child support etc.

From the sound of things Thomas is being charged with assisting in the assult for having done nothing to stop it. An accomplice, if you will.

Clearly - but the OP implies (or is under the impression) that DT is the primary defendant, when he obviously is not.
