Democratic Debate (2 Viewers)

You didn't actually think we have a say in who will be president, did you?
Sure it is. But they aren't committed until they cast their votes at the convention.
Well #### why do I even vote?
Because if the popular tide crushes Clinton, the superdelegates will move their support to Sanders.
It would have to be a crushing though.

timschochet has made no bones about the fact that he firmly believes in "means to an end".  If the end is noble and/or desirable, then virtually any means to that end are justified (e.g. his support for NSA spying).  If nothing else, he's remarkably consistent in this view.

Is that true? If so I'd love to hear the moral justification for this. Would probably make for a great thread in here.
his words here seem to suggest it's true.  whether he's aware of that

Pretty obvious he is in denial about it

I'd guess this is probably getting 1/2 the ratings of the real event on CNN.

The show will be starting on CNN when the Donald takes the floor.

I really like Bernie Sanders. I wish I agreed with him more. But he is a very fine human being I believe.
Of course he is. And he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning the general election. As I have been saying all year, nominate him and the Democratic Party goes off a cliff in November, electoral and down ticket disaster for nominating a self described socialist.

Can't watch the future of our government take shape without paying Comcast extra dough. Thanks Democrats!

Unless I'm overlooking a user friendly live stream?

Free cable for everyone!
Oh, I'm paying for the cable, just not paying for the right marketing bundle.

ETA: But yeah, free cable for everyone. What's good for the Interstate Highway system is good for the flow of information ... and entertainment with regards to Trump.

It's truuuuue! It's truuuuuuue! You know it's truuuuuue!

And we make fun of Trump for arguing like a 4th grader...

Newsflash: you've been living in a democratic socialist republic since FDR.

She is hideous tonight. Just so inauthentic and incapable of connecting with actual humans. Does much better in debates when she can just talk policy and politics and not have to engage with real people

So you're saying that the Quinnapiac poll, which shows that Sanders fares better than Hillary vs. the entire GOP field, means nothing? I mean, their polling is fairly accurate.

The buzzword to be afraid of is establishment, not socialist.  Trump will destroy Hillary in the same way he destroyed Jeb.  The problem Hillary will have is that she has nothing to counter with.  She is the embodiment of everything wrong with politics, much like Jeb.  You will see soundbite after soundbite of her lying.  All she can do is pray that enough people are afraid of a Trump presidency and she gets the lesser of two evils vote.

Bernie, on the other hand, completely nullifies Trump's anti-establishment message.  You can say socialist until you're blue in the face, but then what.  Bernie keeps to his message, and people either love him and his message, or just love him.  Trump will never lose the crazy vote, but against Bernie, that's all he has.  Against Hillary, he gets the angry, and the frustrated vote, and that's a lot of votes.

She's not wrong (for a change).  Where she IS wrong is her attempt to spin that fact as a negative.
It is pretty amazing that Hillary thinks pointing out that Bernie isn't part of the establishment in an anti-establishment election is a good tact.

Trump is the true anti-establishment candidate because the Pope attacked Trump and not Sanders.
