Denarius Moore - CIncinnatti Bengals (1 Viewer)

Moore owners might as well start him on the BYE week as well... to keep your scoring consistent. Consistency is the key to winning in FF :football:

Cut bait? Already did last week. Yep, I am in a re-draft league. Picked up Heyward-Bey in his place. Now I have to look at dropping DHB since he now has no QB to get him the ball. UGH!

Choo-choo?
Chew-chew indeed. I think Denarious is the best all around receiver in Oakland. Now Carson Palmer is not that great. It isn't like he's had any mustard on his throws for years, but one of Moore's stengths is his ability to adjust. He's very polished for a rookie and I think he'll have some value moving forward.

He and the other 6 receivers on Oakland who shuffle in and out of the lineup? When will people learn... :lmao:

I planned on dropping Moore this week since Campbell obviously had no interest in getting him involved but now that they have Palmer I'll hold onto him to see how he does. You never know, Palmer could watch film and tell the coaches they'd like to get Moore more involved. It's obviously unlikely he does anything substantial but I think it's worth waiting to see how the targets are distributed with Palmer.

Keep trying to get the sinking SS Moore ship afloat by whatever rationale possible! Not only am I sitting here with a poop eating grin that I was able to flip Moore and Bernard Scott (looks like Benson is only missing 1 game) for Santonio 2 weeks ago, but Im also laughing at the people in here who said it was a bad trade for me. At this point, I would drop Moore and Scott for WW fodder but instead I got my WR2 for the rest of the year :lmao:

I was 0-4 before the trade

Just traded Moore and Bernard Scott for Santonio...

Off the bandwagon, hopefully it was the right move.

I would trade Moore for Holmes straight up. Since nobody is offering such a trade in my league I hope I am wrong. The projections I have read on Moore are very TD dependent. If he does not score his stat. line will not be anywhere near his projected point total. Moore's floor is what has me concerned.

I'm holding Moore in a 14 teamer until we see how Palmer utilizes his WRS.
Same boat but in a 10-team dynasty. Better choices at WR for Moore than you have but I have plenty of them, including DHB, so no need to rush. I do have Wallace, Austin, Smith (Car) and we have short benches with only 40 WR's roster-ed. I was going to make a move for Baldwin this week, as I really like what I see with his situation, by dropping Moore but Palmer has bought him a reprieve; we do have limited moves and I only have 3 left, so that plays into it too.

In a keeper league but was still going to drop Moore this week (he's been bench fodder for me). Now I'm going to hold him for a few moore weeks. (sorry). Anyway, he's got the talent - anyone can see that (except for the Raider's staff). Maybe with Palmer coming in he likes throwing to Moore and asks for increased plays to the young WR. We know Carson likes the deep ball when he can get it.

Just a gut feeling - but I'm holding on to Moore for a bit (as long as I have the bench room).

I have that same gut feeling too. Whenever a QB comes to a new system they usually tend to target whoever they can establish a rhythm with, chemistry as it were. It just might be DM. Since I picked up CP off of the WW if it turns out to be DM then that might be a great 1-2 combo going into the playoffs.

I agree with your post. I badly need a bye week filler for the next two weeks and the only possible drop is Moore, but I am holding because I truly believe in his talent and his situation is unknown, but has high possibilities of improving. Moore won't start for me till after his bye at the earliest, but he's too valuable a talent to ditch for a flavor of the week pickup that most will forget around the time of the fantasy playoffs. I'm holding, and if Moore is my last man on my bench, well that's just a good problem to have I guess.

Yep, my take as well...might need him week 9, and I figure at this point, he's no more undependable than guys like Salas/Demaryius Thomas.

his playing time is not the problem, hes out there for plenty of routes. campbell just didnt target him much, for whatever reason. ofc, i wouldnt be surprised to see his playing time decrease as jacoby ford has looked every bit the better player, and even hagen, murphy or shilens deserve a shot over a guy who is producing zilch.

week 2, hagan subbing for dhb ran 31 routes. moore ran 29.

week 3: dhb 33, moore 30.

week 4: dhb 40, moore 36.

week 5: dhb 32, moore 33.

week 5: dhb 26, moore 24.

Calling it now, Moore will become a fantasy darling again before the season is over, and all the posters here that have been laughing it up how he's nothing special will look really dumb. Again. ;)

will they look as dumb as the guys who just rolled with moore the last 3 weeks?
Nope, a lot dumber. If you draft well, having a few bad weeks from 1 player during the first quarter of the season won't kill ya. But owning a young stud like Moore for the next 10 years in a dynasty is genius :grad: CHOOOO CHOOOOO

good post, but most were expecting starter numbers in the last three weeks . . .

Yeah, he'll be a darling for 2 weeks again after he puts up another 150yd/1td game and then fade back to where he is now

Now that's the comparison I was hoping for!! Too bad it doesn't settle the choice....

what is your choice? its meant to discredit those who think if only moore can get the coaching staff behind him to get on the field he will produce. hes already on the field but cant produce, that should be distressing.

Both are available in my league and I'm looking at dropping Manningham for one. Right now leaning DHP, though I've been psyched about Moore since preseason, and at $3 fer shoor he's in my pool.eta--just a cover, really, since that's my #3 I'm looking at behind Dez & Dwayne.

Or was it Campbell that wasn't producing? The deck just got reshuffled. Who knows who will click with Palmer. I'm holding DHB and Ford for now, but it could easily be Moore who becomes the stud here. He's the most polished WR. But he's not as explosive as the other two or as big and strong as DHB.

doubt that since he's a rookie - most rookies are unpolished because they havent mastered the nuances of the position . . .

certainly changing from campbell has to be positive for moore considering his recent utilization. its just that, even on my deeper teams, 20 man rosters, it seems the waiver options are more appealing.

dont see how anyone can prefer moore over dhb. ofc, id just keep manningham.
 No question I might be overthinking it. Had Manningham last year, Drafted, dropped and picked up again this year...he's a favorite of mine. Really losing faith though and likely won't play him, so it's a shot at lightning in a bottle. Love Palmer going to that offense but not going after QB with my roster so just looking for some play with my WR3. It's all good!

Not sure why you quoted my post here for your response. I never mentioned playing time. I mentioned Carson might gel with him and ask for more plays to be called for Moore as the primary option. I watch most of the Raider games and I see Moore on the field but haven't seen Campbell looking his way as much as I thought he would. But I must disagree that Ford has "looked every bit the better player" and that Hagen, Murphy or Schilens "deserve" the shot. Basically, as you said, Campbell didn't get him the ball - although it seems that the coaching staff didn't call as many plays for Moore, either. Either way - Moore did look good when they threw him catchable passes. He snagged practically every one from what I've seen.Anyway, the point of my post was not that Moore didn't get playing time. He did. The point of my post was that Carson might favor Moore since he likes the deep ball, as the Raiders do, and Moore might get increased looks. "Might" is the key word. Who knows - but I'm going to wait a few weeks and see.

I'm not one of the ones saying Moore is the next great thing - all I'm saying is that he might be - given the chance. He has a new QB and things could change. If I have the bench room I try to use it to take chances on young talent, which is all I'm doing here - taking a chance.

I also don't understand the DHB love you keep professing. If anything, there's more in the past to discredit DHB than any other WR on the Raider's roster. The last 3 games for me do not erase his previous 2+ years of bad play. I don't know about last year but I remember his rookie season he was dropping an incredible 17% of the passes thrown his way which was by far the most for any WR with 40+ targets. In 2010 he played in 15 games and only had 26 catches. The first two games this year he had 4 catches for 44 yards and the next game had one catch for 5 yards.I know he's played better the last 3 games - but to wonder how anyone might still like Moore over DHB in the long run is a bit of a stretch, I'd say. I wish DHB the best but I wouldn't say I'm "sold" on him yet.

I wanted to do the same thing, but just decided to hedge and drop Moore for Palmer. I think there probably is room in this offense for 2 viable fantasy WRs. I just think we might not figure it out for a few more weeks and I don't have the time.

No kidding. Anything is better than a Yugo. Maybe the deep ball will actually be inbounds and therefore catchable.

i think it was quite clear that poster was referring to redraft leagues where, ya, it seems crazy to prefer moore. its funny that you are maligning dhb's other yrs when moore has performed only slightly better this yr. he is on pace for 35 catches and 554 yards.

Cut this guy this week for Demaryius Thomas who has a higher ceiling. Oak is a run heavy team with too many WRs in the mix. Any of them can brakout and get post 1/30 days.
