Denver police say man ate pot candy before killing his wife (1 Viewer)

9.7 percent of people who used cannabis met criteria for dependence. Among past-year alcohol users, 4.9 percent met criteria for dependence.

Kadden’s experiences working with people who are dependent on marijuana convinces him that legalization isn’t a wise course to follow.

“We’ve got alcohol, and we’re stuck with it. We do marijuana, and it’s going to be another Pandora’s box,” he says

"smoked marijuana is not the best way to deliver medical benefits"

I guess we probably shouldn't pay attention to the fact that crime in just about every category is down year-over-year so far in Denver.

According to data from the Denver Police Department, violent crime (including homicide, sexual assault, robbery, and aggravated assault) fell by 6.9% in the first quarter of 2014, compared with the same period in 2013. Property crime (including burglary, larceny, auto theft, theft from motor vehicle and arson) dropped by 11.1%.
Study: Marijuana legalization doesn’t increase crime

There are gonna be hundreds of murders at Coachella this weekend. Even worse when Stagecoach comes in the next.

It's illegal. If only 9% of the people using it are addicts and it is illegal, that's a pretty decent number. If you had to commit a crime to get booze, how many users do you think would classify as addicts?

"Authorities have admitted that the sample size is far too small to be conclusive,"

Um yeah, as opposed to a sample size of one offered in the OP.

Some of the criteria for addiction are affected by the illegal nature of the drug. For instance, if you get a fine for smoking marijuana and continue using it, it means you meet one of the criteria for addiction. If you use it and it's something you can't talk to a non-using friend about, it's a criteria for addiction. As a result, for many people the fact that it's illegal satisfies one of the three criteria necessary to classify as addiction. So you've reduced the necessary criteria to qualify as addiction by 1/3.

It's all relative to the sizes of their respective brains.

Disclaimer to the Mods: I already forwarded this to my attorney. Thankfully it's not Woz. For you, you should be thankful more due to association. You have FBG lawyers involved with Eminence. Who already are compromised over the whole suicide thingy.

This woman is dead because you liberal hippies wanted to smoke your dope. Are you happy now you selfish dope femmes?

What caused her husband to kill her isn't certain at this point, but one thing is certain, making light of someones death(esp a mom with kids) is really disgusting.

Since you're just one giant fishing trip, you're no better raising your false flags to get attention.

The last time I smoked pot (about 17 years ago, lol!) I had auditory halucinations. I never really had been much of a smoker, I had only dabbled on a rare occasion. Somehow, I ended up pulling down a 4 foot tube and after coughing for a few minutes, my hearing just went whacko. Eventually I realized that the forground noise and background noise had flip flopped. I remember sitting outside talking to a buddy and it sounded like he was down a long tunnel from me, meanwhile there was this roaring loud noise that I eventually realized was just crickets outside at night. Freaking weird. Never smoked pot again. Not that I wouldn't if it was legal now... but it can definitely do weird stuff to you if you take more than you're used to.
that sounds quite amazing.

On the "regulators don't care about dosage control on anything else" front:

Palcohol - a powdered alcohol - has now been approved by the fda for human consumption. It appears it will be sold in packets and will dissolve in liquids to create alcohol. Hurray!
