1 assist? I saw him leave the field late with an injury. Has anyone got any info on him today?

Damn, the Raiders looked BAD!

Ryan Clady happened. Denver's starting O-line didn't give up a sack in the preseason and that carried over into Monday night's game. DL can be up and down too. I'd give him a little while longer.

Yep ... the Denver O-Line did a superb job. Not only did Oakland fail to register a sack, they didn't even get a hit.

Burgess was on the other side most of the time.According to Kiffin, Burgess is expected to play. One thing about Burgess, and this specific game: The Raiders DEs played passively, I am guessing to protect against the myriad rollouts and misdirection. But the line did a great job, I still expect Burgess to play well when healthy.

Day 2 day with strained pec muscle.

I'd cut bait and look elsewhere. These day 2 day injuries are killer.

No Warren, Burgess, Alston

from Inside The Oakland Raiders by Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer

Among those weren’t suited up or weren’t present for the start of practice Wednesday were defensive tackle Gerard Warren, defensive end Derrick Burgess and linebacker Jon Alston.

Warren was wearing a baseball cap and was walking without a limp while talking with defensive line coach Keith Millard. Burgess was not suited up and didn’t not appear to be practicing.

Alston had not made it to the field by the time the media window ended.

Perhaps not coincidentally, Robert Thomas was back on the field. He was wearing No. 94, the number Alston used to wear until he switched to Thomas’ No. 55 before the regular season began.

Thomas’ signing seemed odd given the Raiders’ depth problems along the defensive line. It’s worth considering that Thomas was signed because Alston’s injury may keep him out awhile.

Alston injured his foot running down the field on the overtime kickoff against the Jets. He was wearing a protective boot and coach Tom Cable said Alston was to receive tests. A 22-yard run by Alston out of punt formation as the personal protector provided a major momentum swing in the Raiders direction in the fourth quarter.

More to come later . .

I would say you have to wait and see if Burgess practices later in the week. Not a good sign as of right now. the above blog is the one to bookmark for this news, BTW.

Didn't practice today. On the field, but not suited up.

They may also be thinking that with Trevor Scott's two sacks last week (He made Damien Woody look pretty bad), that they can afford to wait on Burgess.

I don't think he is startable now, and will probably be inactive.
