Up in the air, but I think Mason at this point. Burress is two years removed and is currently sidelined.Who's the #2? Burress or Mason?

Oh, and I think Mason's presence hammers Dustin Keller's fantasy valueUp in the air, but I think Mason at this point. Burress is two years removed and is currently sidelined.Who's the #2? Burress or Mason?I think Burress' gimpy ankle led to this signing in part. Burress will take time to get back to "football shape" - Burress may become an increasingly-involved player as the year goes along, but I think to start we see Mason and Holmes as the starters, with Burress #3 in September.
If a team cut me and essentially said "We can get you back on the cheap later because no one else will want you" I'd go anywhere else if I had the chance. Heap did, Kelly Gregg did, McGahee did, and Mason did.:finger to ravens:Not sure why he picked them over Baltimore really. I don't think he breaks 500 yards in NYJ.
Surprised he chose the Jets over Titans, why? The fact he has never won a SB ring might have alot to do with his decision. Tenn is a mess right now, why would he want to finish his career there?I'm surprised he chose the Jets over the Titans. He'd be the unquestioned #2 WR in Tennessee, he'd arguably have a better QB throwing to him, and he'd get to retire with the team he's played most of his career for.
I'm sure that's exactly how the Ravens phrased it.If a team cut me and essentially said "We can get you back on the cheap later because no one else will want you" I'd go anywhere else if I had the chance. Well what else is cutting them saying then? These guys were the first players to be cut announced in the league, even before cuts could officially be made. He's right...4 cut, 4 gone somewhere else? Didn't need to phrase anything...as they say actions speak............I'm sure that's exactly how the Ravens phrased it.If a team cut me and essentially said "We can get you back on the cheap later because no one else will want you" I'd go anywhere else if I had the chance. Yes I'm sure that's what they 'essentially said'. Couldn't be that they didn't think he just wasn't worth his 2011 salary right?? And they're essentially right -- he wasn't.If a team cut me and essentially said "We can get you back on the cheap later because no one else will want you" I'd go anywhere else if I had the chance. Not sure why he picked them over Baltimore really.

Ray Rice isn't worth his 2011 salary either. He's worth 4x it.Yes I'm sure that's what they 'essentially said'. Couldn't be that they didn't think he just wasn't worth his 2011 salary right?? And the Ravens were right. Right about what guy? Someone else DID want him, that was the point. They weren't right about being able to get him back for less. And, according to Rex Ryan (at least according to this Rotoworld report), the Ravens likely offered him more, but he took less to sign elsewhere. They handled things with disrespect and he said eff you. This was the same Ravens that begged him not to retire a few years ago because they needed him so much. But when they want to save some bucks they dump his ### instead of negotiating with him. Well fine, but then don't try to get him back later. This guy did everything this organization asked of him and more. And the Ravens were right. So, Ravens were right about what? Not paying him his old salary? When teams want to reduce salary but keep a guy they renegotiate down, they don't just cut him and assume he'll come crawling back when there's no market for him. They got a little cute, and now don't have him back, and couldn't sign Floyd, and don't have a replacement yet. As of now they are starting a rookie, which would be fine if that was their plan, but obviously since they had contract offers out to both Mason and Floyd that wasn't their plan. So, right about what guy? Why don't you go back to your bathtub and stick with sudoku.Derrick Mason - WR - Jets
Jets signed WR Derrick Mason, formerly of the Ravens.
It's a surprising move, as not only is Mason moving on from his home for the past six years, but likely for less money than he could have made in Baltimore (at least according to Rex Ryan). His signing shouldn't necessarily affect Plaxico Burress' fantasy stock, but may cap Dustin Keller's, who was in for a boost in targets after the Jets cut Jerricho Cotchery. However, it's also possible Mason could be finished. The 37-year-old visibly lost a step in 2010, topping 80 yards receiving in a game only twice while managing just one catch in Baltimore's two playoff games.

Ok, I'm in Maine on vacation, so I'll take the stinky bait....What about the move helped the Ravens? No one wanted Mason so he had to crawl to the Jets at the vet minimum. Nice move Ravens. He looked done during the playoffs last year.
Sudoku is a tool, that's all. He refuses to recognize that the Ravens, Titans, and Jets all offered him deals. All of this guy's posts are condescending and small minded.
