Panthers coach John Fox said Monday that DeShaun Foster re-aggravated his turf toe injury during Sunday's loss.

The turf toe hasn't cost Foster any playing time yet, but this injury tends to linger and can worsen over time. If Foster can't play against Green Bay in Week 11, DeAngelo Williams could get his first start of the season.

even if both RBs had the same YPC, Foster puts the ball on the ground more. That reason alone is why a lot of coaches in the league would have made a change.

Barely. Based on touches, it's 1.5 to 1. Foster to Williams. I've said this before and I'll say it again. Foster does the dirty/heavy work. Williams is the change of pace back/3rd down back. Foster pounds them, then Williams burns them with his speed. PS- Williams problem is that he has almost as many 0yard/negative yard plays as he has positive yardage plays. Once he learns to go forward and quit dancing ala Barry Sanders style, he'll get much better.

As someone that's gotten turf toe...it hurts like a mofo.

I've either got that or broke something in the big toe knuckle. Gotten two cortisone injections in it and it fixes it for about a month/half.

It's never really right after that.

 Williams has not outperformed Foster this year.
:confused:Williams is averaging 5.0 yards/carry
It's easy to average 5.0 yards a carry when you are running draw plays on 3rd and 8.
What can you do that s all Fox gives him , how can we see what the kid has if he does nt get at least 15 carries for a few games. He is at least as good as Foster ( That s not very hard , and a better reciver with big play ability ).Give him the rock to see what he has ( Aniway even if they are not mathematically eliminated they are , they have Vinny at QB it says it all ) so test the kid .
