det vs buff (1 Viewer)

I'd say they are pushing Kevin Smith to see how his injury reacts. He's been rumored to be on the chopping block but I find it highly unlikely considering he's making around 475k for the year compared to Momo's nearly 2 million per salary.

I hate that Stafford is even out there. He has had a great preseason, let it end on a high note and get him out of there healthy.

Getting him some reps in a real game situation to keep him mentally ready for the season. Nothing wrong with that. Just don't leave him in very long.

It isn't a real game situation and if he needs 2 drives against the Bills in preseason to stay mentally ready for the preseason, then he isn't half the QB anyone thinks he is.

Yeah, it would be silly to get rid of Smith. He is the best option to give Best a breather. Best is not exactly a proven workhorse. They should keep Smith around and give him about 6 carries a game.

He is cheap enough that they might. However, he has looked painfully bad this preseason.

I guess Eli Manning and Tom Brady ain't half the QB either, because both of them have played tonight too.

I know teams do it, I just don't think it is really wise. What is more likely: those 2 drives give them the practice needed to spur them on to much better seasons or they get banged up?

Fumble aside, thought Kevin Smith looked decent last game. I was surprise that he looked as quick as he did coming off the ACL.

I'd be surprised if cut considering his salary and capability as a backup.

IDK, 10 touches for 29 yards and 1 fumble aren't that impressive. He did get a TD, but was stuffed initially and got the benefit of a defensive penalty allowing him another crack. I especially disliked the 2 times he tripped over his own feet trying to cut.

Not a shocker, but after losing Bobby April, Buffalo's special teams are terrible.

Anyone know what happened to Chad Jackson? NFL Gametracker said he got injured.
