**Lions at Vikings** (-1.5, 50.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

I sat the MIN defense for the Eagle defense, cause DET > NYG.

But Flores > Fangio.
Eagles have 2 sacks and 0 points allowed so far…
3 sacks, still 0 points.
4 sacks, still 0 points. After this week I will drop either MIN or PHI defense. Leaning toward MIN due to schedule.
7 sacks, 3 points allowed.
With the MIN Defensive TD, it's almost a wash. Flores will be head coach perhaps next year.

Hmmm with this kicker for Detroit can you really risk not trying to get any more yards. This kid has a big leg but is very erratic barely making XP's this year.

That's what happens when you play not to lose at the end of games. This is on KOC.
His playcalling in high leverage positions is really confusing. Nothing quick developing. Everything 15 yards downfield.

A bunch of times today, Darnold got to the top of his drop and nothing was available. Some of that is coverage, but some of that is design.

Did you see that Minnesota guy leap over the line. He was on the side though and didn't go at an angle like Garrett did for the Browns last week.

I would thought it been better to force Minnesota to run clock and not kick it out of the end zone.

These timing rules are so stupid. When I'm supreme ruler, there will be no changing timing rules. A penalty stops the clock, period.

Excellent response by the Lions after a rough beginning. Gotta keep the petal to the metal in the 2nd half.

Very impressed with our resilience. Honestly, I’m still not entirely used to it and it still feels unexpected despite all the recent evidence ! Game will still go to the wire I think though, Vikings will come on strong at some point
Yes, as you said it came down to the wire. Beat an undefeated team on the road.

That seems like a dumb loophole on that penalty. So just the center and QB could run up and snap it while everyone else is "set" 30 yards behind the LoS?
Set at the line of scrimmage.

But wasn't this penalty today specifically that one of the linemen was set NOT on the line of scrimmage?
The explanation was that the offense was set but it was an illegal formation 🤷🏻‍♂️
Right but the argument is if everyone just gets set where they are but the center and QB are at the LOS it's just illegal formation anyway.

Right so you have the ball on your own 30. You complete a 20 yard pass to midfield. Everyone except the QB/C just gets set wherever they are at the end of the play. Some guys are back on their own 30. Some guys on the 40. Some guys on the 50. All that matters is that they're all "set" wherever they are, and the C and QB run up to the 50 and snap the ball. Everyone is set, but in an illegal formation. So no 10 second run-off...

whew

this Minnesota team has a better roster than the 13 win team from 2022

tough to crack defense and Darnold can hurt you deep

Packers won today - got three 5 win teams and they're all good enough to be division champs

for that matter, even the 4-2 Bears could get hot and make up the 1 game deficit

Sounds like a loophole that might get closed.
If Belichick were still coaching he would absolutely be exploiting it.

If Belichick were still coaching, he'd also coach his defense to try to intercept the spike if some other team tried this against them. A few defensive linemen hovering over the center could all dive for it knowing exactly what the play was going to be.

I'd pay good money to see a game end on that.

Jalen Carter tried that last year, submarining under the center - didn't catch it but he got his hands on it

Best game on TV today, Jared Goff has taken his game to another level, and he was out of college had one of the best completion rates from a college QB.

That being said, I still think Dan Campbell is a meathead head coach.
