Diamond Club seats for MLB games (1 Viewer)

Back in the day we would sit in the bleachers at County Stadium for $2 and bring coolers full of beer in with us.
I used to ride my bike to Tigers games when I was a kid, we'd get in for free sometimes but bleacher seats were $4. I grew up out there, learned a lot about human nature and seen a lot of bare boobies thanks to the BYOB policy in the bleachers. People were hammered and having a great time, several beach balls ended up on the field. :banned:
The $2 was a promotion, I think something like $2 Tuesdays. Normally, it was about $5 to get into the bleachers. Wisely, the old County Stadium was set up so the bleachers where separate from the rest of the stadium, to keep the drunken kids and degenerates from mingling with the regular fans.

Went to the Dodger game yesterday. Dugout Club was very good. Had to pay for beers though, and they were not cheap. $24 for 2 Goose Island's. The food was good. All kinds of different sausages/hot dogs, brisket sliders, tri tip, chicken, salmon, carved turkey, salads, dessert bar and then basically anything you wanted on a table of normal baseball game snacks. Crackerjack, peanuts, cotton candy, etc.

Well worth it if someone else is paying. Oh, sitting next to Magic Johnson, Rob Reiner, Pat Sajak, agents, and all of the road hoors that the Tiger players had lined up wasn't bad either...

I did diamond club at an Astros game last year. It was the second game of the season so it was a big crowd. At least 11 or 12 thousand people. We were four seats over from the owner. Face value was $325. I was shocked to find out it didn't include booze, although I really enjoyed the soft serve ice cream and toppings bar.

The good old days. I remember those weekday April nights where I could get a section of bleachers to myself. My wife and I used to go as a group and sit in the RF section (there were no seats assigned) by ourselves and it was fantastic.

:lmao:

So was Tiger Stadium, it was like a self-contained prison. Take a look at the photo, if you look over into right field you can see the ten foot blue cage separating the bleachers and the grandstand. For afternoon games there is no way you wouldn't see someone trying to climb the fence at some point, or fall down the stairs drunk and almost fall onto the field.

I went to most day games in junior high, until my bike got stolen and I had to call my Dad to come pick me up on his way home from work. Luckily they thought that was the first time I had rode my bike 8 miles through some of the roughest neighborhoods in Detroit at the height of the crack epidemic. I saw some weird stuff on that ride.

I didn't realize how common that arrangement was. In Arlington, the entire outfield was bleachers. They were completely separated from the rest of the seats with their own entrance. It was $4 for a seat or $2 on Tuesdays. That's where I saw most of my baseball as a kid.

Looks like those seats at Yankee Stadium are around $1500 and like someone said above you get access to the Legends suites which has basically all you can eat food, but not normal food, more like gourmet food.
Went to Yankees/Red Sox last night and sat in first row and next to the Yankee dugout and price on face of tickets was $190. No idea if that is just listed and they are actually much higher.

Of course love the fillet and lobster I had pre-game. Also, had a lobster roll in the 7th innning and more free food then I could ever want again.

Been in those seats a bunch of times (my firm has season tix). The only down side is I had to watch the Astros.
I used to know the Astros VP of Marketing (or something like that.) He used to give us the suite they use when it wasn't in use. Those were good times.
So pretty much all the time?
Now is the time to ante up for Astros season tix biggy. They have several thoroughbreds in he minors. When Correa gets to Houston, they are going to be legit for a ling time.

I've been saying the same thing. I really feel like this will be their last year as the bottom dwelling laughing stock. They have some talent coming up.

Were you able to get a good view of the pine tar with those seats?

Wrigley is still like this.

Unfortunately, the cheapest seat in the house(25+ years ago) is now one of the most expensive.

Fenway was like this until a few years ago as well.

I went to Jacobs Field (now Progressive) in Cleveland in '94, the year it opened, and we were in the "bleachers" in left-center both games. I still have no idea how the rest of the ballpark concourses look.
