Did Boldin practice today? (1 Viewer)

I'm not sure what time they practice, but its only 10:30 in AZ, so I don't think there is an answer to your question yet.

Just drove by the facility, they're out practicing now.
Did you happen to see an "81" running around?
Funny thing is you used to be able to see clearly to the practice field from the road with only a few bushes obstructing the view. Since their run last year they've now hung black mesh on the fencing making it much more difficult to see what's going on. They also have an old man driving up and down the sidewalk on a golfcart wearing a purple "Security" shirt.

Kurt Warner?

Receiver Anquan Boldin participated in practice Friday for the first time this week, and coach Ken Whisenhunt said he was encouraged by Boldin's recovery from a sprained ankle.

Boldin is pleased with his recovery, too. "Every day, it's getting better," he said. "No setbacks yet."

The official injury report hasn't been released yet, but I would guess Boldin will be listed as questionable.

Whisenhunt said tight end Stephen Spach (ankle) isn't likely to play.

I'm making the preumptive strike and beching Boldin vs. the Giants. If he goes off, he goes off. I think he's more likely just a decoy as he was in Week 1.

From what I've read, it sounds like the only reason Boldin didn't keep playing last week was because the Cardinals were ahead by so much later in the game. I'm thinking Boldin's going to play, but the question is how effective he'll be.

I just picked up Andre Caldwell to fill in for Boldin...now what do I do?

The day you bench Q is the day he puts up 2TDs.

Beware! The worst three words in fantasy football are now associated with Boldin. High ankle sprain. That being said he did practice Friday and could actually play. It could be a situation where he only plays a few snaps or Boldin can fight his way through the injury. I don't know if I am willing to risk him playing a few plays and leaving the game.

Per Mike Jurecki of Xtra Sports 910 in Phoenix via ProFootballTalk:

"Hopefully I can get back out there Sunday," Boldin said.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt seems to think that there's a good chance Boldin will indeed be able to play against the Giants on NBC's Sunday Night Football. (What, you expected me not to take advantage of an opportunity to drop a plug?)

"I'm amazed at how tough Anquan is and how quickly he recovers from things, Whisenhunt told Xtra Sports. "I was very pleased to see what he did today."

This is a perfect glimpse into the life of a Boldin owner. "hopefully", "seems to think", and a late game. Classic.

Doesn't sound that encouraging to me. I'm benching him in three leagues this week.

Not just a late game but a Sunday night game to boot. That not only makes it a killer for Boldin owners but anyone who might be eye-balling Breaston as a starter or Urban as a flex play.

I think Breaston is a good play even if Boldin plays. Last year Boldin played sparingly in some games while coming back from injury (almost like a decoy), and Breaston had very good games.

Check out the Our View....

Boldin was told originally that he could miss three-to-four weeks with the injury, but he was on the practice field yesterday and is hoping to be able to play tomorrow. If he does play, owners should still be cautious about putting him in your lineup, as he will obviously not be at 100 percent.

Report: Anquan Boldin likely to play on SNF

Anquan Boldin (ankle, questionable) "looks like a go" for Sunday night's game against the Giants' according to NBC's Peter King.

We'd still have a hard time waiting on Boldin in fantasy leagues. While he appears likely to be active Sunday, his high ankle sprain threatens to limit his playing time, and perhaps his targets. Steve Breaston may play more. Oct. 24 - 3:57 pm et

This is PURE speculation. Whiz was on Sirius radio today and he clarified that Q is a GTD. They will work him out pregame and see how he looks. I don't think Q, or the team has any idea if he will play at this point, and my guess is that they have prepared to play without him. I would only start him if you have another Cardinal, Giant, Edskin or Eagle WR to replace him with if necessary.

Out for year

Royally Sprained Knee

Broke Bone Badly

Wont Play Again

Concussion, Out Indefinitely

But I hear what you're saying :tinfoilhat:
