Did Justin Tucker help or destroy any of you? Let's hear it... (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld:

Justin Tucker's 61-yard field goal on Monday night was the third-longest go-ahead field goal in the final minute of the fourth quarter in NFL history.

Tucker's remarkable six field goals (including two from 50+) still has the NFL and fantasy world buzzing. Even Tucker himself is aware of the impact he had on millions of owners. "I'm glad I could come through, of course, for my reality team as well as for my fantasy owners," he said afterward. "Thank you for picking me up, it means a lot to me. And hopefully I can continue to contribute to the successes of your respective teams." Now riding 33 straight makes, Tucker will be a major factor in the fantasy finals as well.

Thanks to him I won.

Was down 20 points, and I had Tucker and Calvin Johnson left.

Kinda figured I would win because of Calvin but nooooooo

it was the other way around. Tucker was the one that saved me..not Calvin.

Thanks tucker!

I played against Dan Bailey who scored 21-pts in my league and left me up only 13-pts heading into Monday Night.

He had Baltimore Defense/Special Teams and I had Justin Tucker.

Needless to say, Baltimore DEF/ST scored 10-pts, Tucker 22.5, and I am in The Fantasy Bowl!

Thank You Justin Tucker.

Tucker - 23 points and #1 K in my league. Picked him up from someone who dropped him 3 weeks ago :idiot:

Too bad his points were meaningless. My Vereen and Demaryius met his Charles......and that was all she wrote.

Just caught Harbaugh's press conference. Before their final play which gained 2 yards, they were looking at a 63-yard FG. Tucker walks up to him and says "I got this."

Baller.
Do you know of any kicker who would not say that?
Bullock
And about 25 other kickers. Strange question.

If you don't have a legit shot to make it, you don't tell your coach you can make it. You owe it to the rest of your teammates to be honest about your chances. Converting on 4th & long has a higher probability than going with a kicker who has a range of 52-55, MAX.

I'd like to hear from our resident kicking guru on this, but here is the list of kickers I would give a shot to kick a 61-yarder indoors in that exact situation, rather than going for it on 4th & 8.

Tucker

Janikowski

Prater

Gould

Crosby

Dawson

Folk

Legatron

Walsh

That's about it. With the other 23 kickers, I'd say the odds of converting a 4th & 8 play are higher.

Edit: Maybe Scobee too, but only because their offense is terrible. Also, Gostkowski has the leg to get it there, but I would trust Brady more in that situation.

I took out the #1 seed in my league this week because of Charles and Mr. Tucker. Set an all time high score to boot. Funny scoring for kickers, 10 points over 60, 5 points over 50, 4 points over 40 and the rest are 3. 32 points....life is good
Worst...league...ever

Reminds me how glad I am that one of my leagues got rid of kickers.
We got rid of QBs for the same reason. Guys like Manning would blow up for 5-6 TDs. We may have to look at dumping RBs next year after the Charles performance.
Winning because of the RB you drafted top-4 overall or the QB you drafted in the 2nd round is a liiiiiitle different than winning because of the K you randomly took in the last round or picked up from waivers during the season, don't you think Bass?

Not really. Was picking Charles really that hard? Kickers don't score better than RBs, but people that seem to ignore Ks and Ds don't win a lot. People that understand their scoring rules and realize that having a top K or D can win them some weeks win a lot. The league I have Tucker in, I also have been doing DBC all year and I have the #2 D ranking, because I paid attention to that spot every week. Now, I am in the championship game and lord willing, I will take it home. I'm the #1 scoring team, but you never know.

Sounds like a terrible league.

I've never seen a kicker hit a cycle, 20-30-40-50-60
Has to be the best single game kicking performance of all time. Can anything even come close to this?
This was the best game by a kicker prior to last night: Rob Bironas - October 21, 2007

Kicked 8 FGs in the game. The last with zero seconds on the clock to give the Titans the 2 point win. Game winner was only 29 yards out and longest of the day was 52 yards. I would have to say it is now 2nd best game by a kicker for those two reasons and because he was not the teams lone point scorer on the day like Tucker was.

I couldn't be happier with his performance yesterday :sarcasm:

Can someone please start the movement to rid Fantasy Football of kickers? I mean seriously...

Defense has nothing to do with this discussion. There's at least a bit of skill involved in choosing a defense.

You're that weird kid that drafts a kicker before everyone else because their total points scored are high, aren't you? :lmao: :lmao:

No #######, I am one of the guys that picks a kicker in the last round because I know I can figure out which Ks will make a big impact out of the ones that always go undrafted. I never pick a K early because there are always waiver wire guys that do well for the year.

Sorry, but anyone complaining about a position because they can't figure out the right one to use or hangs on to the one the drafted too long is the one talking about why Ks shouldn't be on a roster. Just get a brain and do some work. Guys like me realize we can pick up a Tucker for a week and beat guys like you. Sorry you lost. I won my game last week thanks to Tucker and won my championship yesterday as well. Thanks for the $$$, keep complaining about the poor little kickers who got lucky and beat you.
