Did Ricky Fail another drug test (1 Viewer)

Why is he getting drug tested in the middle of Feb anyway?
When you've failed 3 drug test, you are required to take a drug test every week or two throughout the year.....all year round.RAPTURE

That just makes him even dumber. So, what happens with all that money he owes the Dolphins?

Dolphins | R. Williams fails fourth drug test

Sun, 19 Feb 2006 18:42:06 -0800

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams has failed a fourth drug test and faces a one-year suspension from the NFL. The team has declined to comment on the drug test.

Another source. KFFL.

Can change the title.

:sadbanana: but expected.

Make Anderson owners breathe a sigh because of trade rumors, and RBown owners are thrilled to death. Things change quickly ... too quickly sometimes.

Who woulda thunk it?

If only there was some way we could have seen this coming.
Honestly, I thought the guy at least understood the financial ramifications this time.....I guess I was giving him waaaay too much credit.

CBS4 Miami story

(CBS4) MIAMI Ricky Williams’s return to football with the Miami Dolphins appears to have hit another roadblock, as sources within the NFL have confirmed that the controversial running back has again tested positive for drug use, a violation of league policy which could see him suspended for a full year.

CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald says two sources have confirmed the test, though they did not specify which drug caused the failure.

Its true. This from espn.com. BreakingReport: Williams faces season suspension

Dolphins running back Ricky Williams has vioalted the NFL's substance abuse policy for a fourth time and faces a one-year suspension, a Denver television station reported Sunday.

Personally, I believe this story. There is no way the Miami Herald would produce a false story without knowing all of the facts. This story is probably true. I feel bad for Ricky due to the fact that he is mentally ill. Why cant anyone help this poor boy? After this, he shouldnot be allowed in the NFL any longer. He should leave now while he has the chance, and never turn again. Now Ricky is gone, Ronnie Brown should become the main back. This means huge FF numbers!! Unlike most of you, he is on my keeper team. THANK YOU VERY MUCH RICKY, SEE YA AROUND

I think it's great he did this to stoke interest in the NFL during the long offseason. Ricky's a helluva guy with the fans' interests at heart. I think I speak for all of us here when I say thanks, Ricky, for the message board fodder! What a selfless guy.

As someone mentioned in the FFA..... this could have possibly been a plan by R.W. to save himself 8 million dollars. Come back to the league (not owe 8 million), play for one year with crappy contract, get busted in the off-season and be out of the NFL (keeping his 8 million).

This guy may have learned a few tricks when he was camping.

Under what premise do you think Ricky won't owe the Dolphins the majority of that $8 million? He presumably gets out of another year of the proration, but that still leaves him on the hook for $5+ million at a minimum, and you can be sure the Dolphins [if this test result is true] are going to viciously enforce the ruling in court.Ricky =

I'm not sure what he may owe (if anything). We know that by walking away from the game, he was responsible for that $$$$, but I personally have no clue what premises (if any) have been set in the NFL for something like this.I dont know what type of wording these contracts have, but could you really owe back money just for being a f-up? He will go unpaid for 2006...but when other players get 4 games supsensions (O. Smith)...i dont believe he had to give back part of his signing bonus.

Just thinking out loud and trying to reason what R.W. may have been thinking.

Nice try. That is old, from when he was caught before his retirement. Lame.
Sorry but the video attached is not form two years ago , its from last years game.So its not a nice try its true.
How can you tell?Ricky wouldnt be facing a one year suspension anyway, I am pretty sure it would be for longer.
Man you keep inserting your Texas sized foot into your Texasmouth.

Pretty big sports day--

NFL- Ricky is a moron!

NBA- All Star game

MLB- Barry is retiring

Olympics  Daytona 500

Paging Banghaha to the slow-pitch batting cage...
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: In all seriousness, if this IS true, and is current, then Ricky Williams has got to be one of the dumbest people around. They allowed him back when they didn't have to, and he repays them like this? Again, IF true, then his trade value goes to almost nil and Miami is stuck with him... (after he serves the 1 year suspension)
Miami practically forced him out of retirement by sueing him. If not for that lawsuit, we might not have ever came back. Because he renegotiated his deal, he was free to hold out or retire this year. Obviously he didnt make the same choice most people would but this is Ricky. I imagine we'll be hearing about his retirement soon.

Dolphins | More about Williams

Sun, 19 Feb 2006 20:43:56 -0800

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams faces at least a one-year suspension from the NFL after a fourth violation of the league's substance abuse policy. Two sources confirmed a report that Williams had violated the policy, although neither would say whether Williams had failed a drug test or if he had missed a required test, which also is a violation. Williams has spent much of the offseason in Northern California studying yoga and had planned to go to India for further study. Williams can appeal a violation to the league and had made it through the season despite being tested 10 times a month. "Because of the confidential nature of the league's substance abuse policy, we can't comment on any aspect of that program," Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said. Williams missed the first four games of the 2005 season and was fined an additional four weeks of salary.

So how do the T.O. supporters see this. No one could ever be stupid enough to screw up again under such scrutiny, right? T.O. is as golden this season as Ricky WAS

Ricky unretired. Instead of having to pay Ricky in 2005 under the previous contract and sueing him for bonus money paid much in part by the Saints, the Dolphins and Ricky negotiated a brand new 3 year contract playing for the league minimum. Since there was no bonus money involved in the new (current) contract, I dont believe they can sue him for anything. Obviously they wont have to pay him for 2006 if he doesnt play.
