***Divisional Round Game Thread*** Baltimore at Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

Can they call a penalty on a replay? Because that should have been a blow to the head, right?
Oh brother. It's Baltimore Steelers buddy....they are letting them playa little.Post Season.
I dislike the rule, but anyone named "Manning" gets that call. It should be called consistently.
I hear ya...the rule is bad. But it is the playoffs, two very physical teams...looks like they are going to let some things go unless it is very obvious.
Have you been watching the game? They are letting the obvious go and calling phantom penalties. They are all over the map on this game and it takes away from what could be a good game.
:lmao: Being inconsistent is a good way to lose control of the game.

I must say that the refs did a great job there. They didn't prematurely blow their whistle. Surprised it took so long for a player to pickup the ball. Normally someone scoops it up even when it's clearly a dead ball.

so many dumb challenges every week by emotional coaches....don't they get the call from upstairs when to challenge after someone has actually seen the replay a few times?

A TD drive here would be huge...just huge.

I think the Ravens take a shot deep here...maybe even on first down. Steelers are on their heels early.

Go for it Harbough.

Terrible emotionally driven challenge by Tomlin IMO and if this stands then he's out of challenges and I bet he'll need one.
If Roethlisberger's arm had been moving forward at all before the ball came out it would have been reversed and saved them a TD. The challenge on the kickoff was worse even though they won it. What did they gain? 15 yards of field position. Early in the game you should save your challenges for scoring plays and turnovers.

One other thought - Ed Reed is really bring the lumber. Been critical of him in recent years for being a cherry picker and not a hitter. He is hitting in this postseason

Although he was calling for a lateral on the uncontested fumble return for a TD

The Ravens looked like the better team in their last meeting. Just a huge fumble by Flacco gave the Steelers the ball in the red zone with 3 minutes left, or else the Ravens win that game. And the Ravens look like the better team in this game, too. I think I believe my eyes. The Ravens are simply the better team.

Yea, and Heap got hurt on the first play last game, IIRC.

I still can't believe the stupidity in that TD. Steelers going to be making up for that one for a while.

:excited: Ed Reed has always been a big hitter.

I'll give the Steelers this, I don't think theres a team in the league that tackles better than they do. Love that.

Gotta love it when the guy makes a block and then looks right over at the ref. Can't think of a better way of announcing that you did something wrong.

Steelers D made a nice adjustment to the Ravens O - rushing 4. Not getting great pressure but covering the receivers and screens.

Time for Cam (who has been maligned as OC this year) to adjust and either start running or doing something else that works

Got to take a shot deep...stretch that defense up a little.
They need to establish a run game or they won't get the time to throw it deep.
They need to get pitt to stop pinching in the LB's...that's why they are not running. Stretch them on a play get them thinking about the deeper stuff. The running game will then open up.Give McGahee a few more carries( or a series)...he is bigger and a little more physical.
