Yeah, on a serious note, if you can get everything spelled out, in agreement, then that's a no-brainer. My situation was fairly straightforward as well, and for that I am thankful. I know a lot of divorce situations do not end in agreement, and have to go to court.
i'm really lucky to have an ex-wife that i can work with. she's not as unreasonable now as she was when we were married. marriage counseling was brutal. divorce mediation was a challenging process but not as bad as the counseling. some of it was accepting the different premise associated with the circumstances.

I think I may have said this in another thread, but I told my young kids something along the lines of:

"You go to school and learn math, reading, writing, science, etc., but nobody there teaches you how to be a good husband or wife.  Your mom and I are your teachers on that and honestly, we're doing an awful job teaching you the right way.  Neither of us want you to think this is normal, especially if you get married someday and behave with your spouse the way we have.  I think divorce will give each of us a chance to become better teachers someday."

"Hiding money" excludes any bank account opened with your own name and SSN right? Can't her lawyer easily find these? What alternatives exist other than physically hiding cash? Can you walk into any American branch of a Swiss or Cayman bank for example, or do you have to fly there?
