DJax from here on out (1 Viewer)

Anybody who says DJax isn't a #1 receiver, I'd like to know the 12 ahead of him. In my opinion he is top five.
I just got him packaged with Ronnie Brown. I moved Westie and Javon for Ronnie and Djax. He'll be okay paired with T.O. and Driver.I'm excited as I like his consistency. Javon as big play potential, but I have to many Broncos on my team.

Djax is great because he puts up WR1 numbers without the WR1 pricetag. If you can get him for a bargain price I suggest you do so. Look a the Seattle schedule for the remainder of the season.
How's this for value...I missed getting him in the draft but was able to pick him up on waivers last week! :D Seattle has one of the easiest pass defense schedules this year...Also have Boldin, Driver and Colston...

DJax had a few monster games earlier in the year. Is he a must start this weekend vs. the Rams? Does anyone believe that with the Seahawks focus on the passing attack this year that DJax is a solid Number 1 WR?

Not sure he is a solid #1 WR but he definitely is a solid #2 - for his ADP (I got him for WR #4 money) - that is pretty darn good.

I have solid WRS in S Smith, D Jax, S Moss and Mushy - so I consider D JAx a #2 - he probably could be a #1 if you have below par WRs thoguh. I would start him with confidence coming off the bye and no SA. They will have to score and the Rams Def although not terrible is nowhere near Chicago Def status.

absolutely he's a solid #1. As long as he's healthy he'll put up good numbers, the risk with DJax is injury not lack of production.

Why was Djax on waivers?

Awesome, so basically if he's not playing the Bears or Ravens D, he's a must start! Just thought I'd know (since he's past his bye week) so that I can start trading away my WR depth. I'm tired of having Lee Evans and Reggie Brown rot on my bench.

Why would you trash talk your free Yahoo league like that?

I just traded Gore for him straight up. Im concerned about Gore not getting GL carries, and D Jax has a great sched. It's a 12 team league, start 2RB, 3WR, already have S Jax, C Taylor, Foster & A Green. The guys in my league thought I was nuts, I think I got a great deal given the RBs I already have.

Agree the schedule is great, but am I the only one that recalls the knee troubles? I am keeping him around, but just making sure to keep a solid backup handy.

One of the best fantasy receivers period. Could/should easily finish top 5. Came at a great bargain in virtually every type of league. Great schedule, great offeense. Some have said Branch will hamper his production, I don't believe it, but I guess time will tell.

I do love all of the DJax love in here, but I need to say that top 10 seems very optimistic. There are too many possibilities for failure:

SA coming back.

Branch being more involved.

Blowouts leading to running the ball.

I really think all three will happen and we'll see Jackson's value drop over the course of the season. He's an incredible sell high candidate right now.

:goodposting: That was the general offseason consensus on D-Jax. He'd get you 12 weeks of WR1 numbers and 4 weeks of missed time on the bench. Typically, those that drafted him were guys who didn't mind possibly being forced to start a backup if DJax went down in exchange for the cheap upside that he offered.

I hear Shaun Alexander had a pretty good season last year. I also hear that the Seahawks were pretty good and involved in a lot of blowouts. What's more, I hear that DJax was playing hurt. DJax still averaged 83.3 yards and .56 TDs per game (including playoffs), which averages to a 1333 yard, 9 TD season over a full 16 games. Here are DJax's season-by-season per-game averages for the past 6 seasons (not even counting playoffs last year.2001- 67.6/.50 (9.76 fantasy points per game)2002- 67.5/.31 (8.60 fppg)2003- 71.1/.56 (10.49 fppg)2004- 74.9/.44 (10.12 fppg)2005- 80.3/.50 (11.03 fppg)2006- 73.3/.75 (11.83 fppg)You know what they say... the only things you can count on are death, taxes, and Darrell Jackson. He's been the model of consistancy since he became a starter. Sure, his TD pace right now is probably a touch high and will likely come back down to earth, but all the rest of his numbers are pretty much spot on with what he's done every season during his career. I see no reason to expect a noticeable regression in his numbers, regardless of what's going on around him. I'd count on DJax for 75-80 yards a week, and a score on every other... because that's what he *ALWAYS* produces. Record season by Shaun Alexander or the worst season in SAlex's career. 13-3 or 7-9. Solid #2 WR (Koren Robinson) or no solid #2 WR. None of this has ever mattered before, so I don't see why it should start mattering now.The only reason, in my mind, to downgrade Darrell Jackson would be concerns about his injury.
