DJax (1 Viewer)

I thought he looked healthy yesterday. Had a few drops but thats normal for him. SF offense looked miserable but they should turn that around. So is he a solid WR2 if healthy?

Not a #2 to me. In a PPR he is more like a 4th. At this point i wouldnt play him.. I would rather play Battle.. Atleast he catches it. In a redraft i would move him if you can

No thanks. Learned my lesson with Antonio Bryant last year. Yes, there is the fact that DJAX is not a total ##### like Bryant; but until the Niners drop a #1 pick on a WR, I have my doubts.

Rashaun Woods doesn't count because that was before Nolan/Mcloughan.

Ha, listening to a fan on the radio who was at the game and saw DJAX come to the bench after he pulled up on the route near the goal line so as not to get hit. He said that DJAX came back to the bench and was laughing and smiling......and Lelie was sitting next to him with a

I definately thought it was strange that SEA would trade him to SF in the division.......Mcloughan (sp?) used to work for them so I figured he got a "deal"; I dunno now though......he was pretty weak last night.

His helmet and chinstrap are unstable, that reason alone I don't want him on my team.
WTF was with his helmet / chinstrap??? Looked like his facemask was out of place or something. (and no, not drinking last night)... Just looked odd/wrong, etc.I think he'll be ok as a WR3 option. Maybe around 4/5 catches a game when they get in synch and maybe 7/8 TDs this year. I did like the SF D - should help get the ball back more often w/ the improvements on that side.

He did that all the time after bad drops in Seattle.

Soooooo....this begs the question, why did Mcloughan make the trade for him? You'd think he'd had enough of that act from when he was in SEA....I get the Niner's plan, really, I do. But they need to get Smith a real WR. No arguments with taking Willis this year :goodposting:

I rank D-Jax #2

...on his own team, behind Arnaz Battle.

D-Jax can draw the #1 CB, Battle can quietly put up WR3 points. I had D-Jax on my "Do Not Draft" list, since I knew he'd be drafted way before I would touch him based on name recognition, & he did.

a lot of strong opinion here backed by speculation and overreaction.

he very nearly had a longball catch for a TD. add that to the 4-36 he did have, and there'd be a thread here about how great he is with someone asking if the shark move is to trade for him.

Except he's DJax and he didn't catch it when he should've, as he is infamous for. If he had caught it, the shark move would be to still remember that he drops a lot and not to overpay for him after 1 week on an O that got pretty well shut down at home against the Cardinals.

I hope you are right, I didn't get to see the game except via Gamecenter. It was ominous to see D Jax draw a flag twice for false start. He did have 10 targets though. Unfortunately I did not factor in Alex Smith's suckiness when I drafted D Jax. I would feel fine if he's my #3, but I'm concerned as he is my #2 and Mason is my #3. :sadbanana:

D-Jax's dropsies continue to be overstated. He indeed had the problem one year in Seattle (along with Koren Robinson), but it hasn't seemingly been an issue since then.

He was 2nd in the league last year with 11 dropped passes.

Can we get some unbiased opinions on his outlook from people who dont HATE him?
I don't own him in any league and feel D Jax could be pretty good this year. You would think he would have had a good game against the Cards, but it was week 1 and SF looked rusty as a hole. D Jax is not Bryant and I don't even compare him to that bumb. Yes, he drops balls, but there was a time when I feared playing him because he could rack them up for Sea. I think D Jax will have a good season where he catches about 75 balls for about 1,000 yards and 7 TD's. He will get his, but Alex Smith needs to continue to grow for him to be successful. He does have a running game and a decent receiver on the opposite side, with a potentially great TE go through middle, he will get his opportunities.
