I was doing some major eye rolling at the guys in this thread who got their panties in a wad that the Russians were trying to influence our election, when we have outright put puppets into power in other countries (Shah of Iran, for example).

 
How about last weeks revelation that the Obama Administration sent several hundred thousands of tax payers dollars to an Israeli group to oust their PM in the last election.  That was to a country that has historically been an ally. 

The only thing that worries me more is what is not being revealed.....Is that so the hackers can blackmail those when they get into office?

I keep wondering where these people were when the Chinese (who just banned Internet news) were funneling all kinds of money into Clinton Gore '96.  Where are they when money into the Clinton Foundation grants them favors with State Dept.  The Russians should be happy with their uranium...

There have to be politicians walking around right now that are going crazy wondering if any of their dirt is going to be revealed.  Probably a similar feeling to how all the married dudes who signed up for Ashley Madison accounts felt like when they got hacked.  Sleepless nights, going through the motions, hoping nobody types their email address in.

 
Were these leaked, or were they hacked? Leaked would imply someone from within shared anonymously. Hacked implies stolen.

If you think it doesn't matter, just change the thread title to "DNC Gossip".

 
THE ENTIRE SYSTEM IS RIGGED FOLKS! When you turn on your TV and see people protesting, those are paid interns.  When you hear poll numbers, those are bs numbers strategically released to counter other poll numbers.  When you see comments supporting a candidate under a blog post, those are paid bloggers.  When you hear the same talking points over & over, those were given to the media.  EVERYTHING!  It's like f'n bizzaro world.

Going to be funny when the hacker is identified as a 15 year old kid named Jason & used the password hope/change.  I stole that line, but too good.

So DNC is hacked & no one hacked some crap server in Hillary's closet?   Okay.

 
Although this could be from a Russian hack, I find it interesting that the FBI showed proof of the source of the Sony hack, but are showing nothing here.  

More wag the dog stuff from the media-controlled government.

- Some of these documents have been altered.

- Russia is trying to influence the elections.

All put in place so when the next leak has more damaging information, we can all ignore.

You mean the FBI might not do the right thing due to outside influence?  Hopefully they don't do that when it comes to someone compromising classified information on a personal server.

You have zero clue if you think Saints is a Hillary guy.  He has been consistently posting links against her for months too...and posting about Russian ties to Trump for months before this as well.

And believing Assange in this is as good as you believing that Donald wasn't making fun of a handicapped guy.

I was joking about him being a paid shills. I apparently don't have as great if a notebook as you do.  Russians responsible for the hack is poor circumstantial evidence.  But hey, let's start WW3 to deflect Hillary's corruption.

What exactly is the goal of publishing news stories that are based on bs evidence?  Make an excuse as to why we got hacked?  Paint Trump in a bad light, and try and fabricate ties with Putin?  Deflect the heat from all of the juicy nuggets found in the leak?  Make us dislike Russia?  I'm not a pawn.  I'm not feeding into this one.  Call me skeptical of what the news says, but in light of recent discoveries about media / political cooperation, who isn't?

That's not a political site. I've posted to technical sites here and technical experts. I'd say maybe review the evidence before accepting Assange's statements at face value.

However if you're going to look at Assange then look at Assange:

- It's not mutually exclusive for it to be both a diversion from the Hillary campaign and also actually be from Russia.

- Now you tell me, is it not true that WL has always said it's sources are anonymous? And now Assange says he knows the sourcing? Which is it?

I really don't understand why you guys are getting so uptight about the reporting on what if obviously a very legitimate and important story. It doesn't make the story of the content of the emails go away.

Ok how about this. Folks screaming 'Diversion!' 'Squirrel Hunt!' 'Hillary Shill!" maybe take a moment to find a technology or intelligence expert who is saying it's not the Russians. No rush or anything but they're not out there from what I see. I'm geeked out by the technical aspects, I enjoy it, it's a deep dive for me.

But I'm also interested in the emails. Maybe dig some up, has the well run dry? Yes the DNC has had what they are getting coming to them and how, so let's see some dirt.

Quez, SaintsinDome is one of the fairest poster around. He is very thoughtful and his posts are well thought out. I don't agree with him a lot but I respect the hell out of him. He deserves better than being called a Hillary Shrill.

And what's disappointing is watching ABC news tonight there was not one mention of the content of the emails-NOT ONE MENTION of what was in 22,000 emails, but yet they covered the whole Russian angle and had experts on there claiming they had proof it was Russia and then went into details about Trump and Russia. 

What kind of country do we live in? We make fun of the North Korea Media and the unbelievable stories they tell of their leader but we are the leader of the free world and this is what we have?? 

 
Any idea why Twitter is sending me emails about the DNC, the schedule and topics of the speeches each day? They've never emailed me about anything before. 

 
It's very irresponsible for a major Presidential candidate contender to blame Russia without any evidence...
