Do any Chiefs have any value (1 Viewer)

Do the Chiefs have anyone with any fantasy value. Dwayne Bowe is a great talent, but with Thigpin throwing to him does he have anything over a mediocre day?

Bowe and Gonzo both are worth keeping on your bench, if your roster allows. But they are not playable unless the matchup is too sweet, like Denver, for instance.

Thigpen is teh suk!

Agreed on keeping them. LJ being out makes it even tougher--but that's all KC has got left and they'll be getting targets. (you know the theory--if you throw enough stuff at the wall--something's gonna stick...). One of Bowe's two TDs this year was from Thigpen at Atlanta; one of Gonzo's two was from Thigpen vs Oakland.

Bowe has great value -- they will force feed him the ball all game. He sees double digit targets, and catches 70% of them. In PPR leagues, he's a decent play

Dump them all ... absolutely zero value.
Bowe is an excellent #3 WR with nothing but upside from that position. Go ahead and dump him and watch him get scooped up in a second. Terrible advice unless you are in a 10-Team League and even then borderline terrible.

Agreed. Even in a 8-team league, dropping Bowe would be idiotic. He's the #24 WR in PPG in my non-ppr league, and has likely been THE most consistant WR this season (5,8,8,9,10,10 going off memory). This is in spite of the fact that KC has been a QB carousel all year & has had a rushing game everywhere from awesome to horrible. Bowe (& Gonzo) have been the only consistant things in KC all year.

I think Bowe would be one of the top 5 receivers in the game with a good QB but even given the mess they have he is likely going to get between 1000 and 1100 yards this year.

He might get a lot of catches in garbage time like he did last week but they still count.

Bowe and Gonzo both have value no matter who the QB is. KC is perenially trailing in games, they'll have to throw every week and these are the two most likely targets.

Does anyone actually believe that Thigpen is such a big step down from Croyle and Huard? Seriously? The QB situation in KC has been abysmal all year ... this ain't exactly Matt Cassel stepping in for Tom Brady, folks. It's a safe bet that Bowe and Gonzo will continue to do what they've been doing all year. If that's not OK with you, go ahead and bench them.

The Chiefs represent a ton of value to Thomas Jones, Brett Favre, Dustin Keller, Chansi Stuckey, Brad Smith, Leon Washington, Coles, Cotch and the entire Jets defense.

Bowe has been riding my bench all season long. I'm in a TD heavy league with .5 pt for receptions. He's really not worth putting in my lineup because the other guys have an actual chance of catching a TD pass. I'm putting in Avery over him this week. Thinking about dropping him really...

yes, Thigpen is wretched
 Croyle and Huard are viable NFL QBs. They should probably be backup QBs for some team instead of starters, but would be solid backups. At this point Thigpen does not belong on an NFL field on gameday under any circumstances.

I don't see how you can bench Gonzalez unless you have a better option. Most owners aren't going to have Gonzo+Witten or Gonzo+Gates on their roster.
