Dolphin Players bullied Jonathan Martin, Richie Incognito SUSPENDED (1 Viewer)

Actually, that picture of Martin looks kind of creepy. I can't tell if that's a forced smile or a real smile. Maybe you Dolphins fans have seen more of Martin smiling to know.

Martin never said Richie was holding a gun to his head and forcing players to go to strip clubs. What has been revealed is that Dolphins OL meetings were being held at strip clubs. Those not attending were subject to fines. This would fall under the "terrible" information that Martin leaked about having to pay Vets money.

If anything, we figured out the problem with the Dolphins Offensive line. It's clear from that picture of the Offensive Line meeting that Martin thought that was the correct way to handle a double gap blitz. Once Richie was suspended, and the strip club meetings stopped, the OL seemed to improve. Even you Dolphin homers are on record admitting this.

Also, I guess the media made a big deal out of the golf attendant and the Dolphins employee situation. MOP, it's sad that your love of the Dolphins can't see the facts.

The NFL is just waiting until after the season to air the Dolphins dirty laundry. I wouldn't be surprised to find that Ross and Ireland already had information from the league that lead to the mutual agreement to part ways.
Those with an open mind would say that this is clearly possible. We don't know any facts about the golf course. There is a difference between what could have been some drunken, over the top stupid flirting by an idiot, and sexual harassment. If we have learned nothing from how the media (and several in this thread) have blown a nothing incident into the worst adult hazing event ever to happen within the American boundaries, then shame on us. Those with an open mind would consider all options before jumping to the conclusion that just because the media says it may have happened one way, that it in fact did happen that way.
Last check, a police report is fact. How many women file police reports when a guy is flirting. Even over aggressive flirting doesn't warrant a police report.

Keep beating the "open minded" horse though, it's worked well for you so far. :deadhorse:

She probably made it all up.

MOP, it's sad that your love of the Dolphins can't see the facts.
You can't tell in the picture if he is having a good time or not, forced smile? And then when all else fails you try a haymaker and bring my name into it. Do you see me ever come in here and post anything like "KCItons look how wrong you are"

And the reason is I don't care, don't take it the wrong way but I don't give a flying spit what you think, believe, or FEEL on the whole situation. I can read the facts as they roll off the media pages, I don't need it explained to me. You on the other hand as well as others have had a jolly old time laughing it up at the Miami Dolphins and at their fans expense.

I said this several times but again folks like you wanted to make it about the Miami fans who post in here which automatically should have been a red flag. You all wanted to rub our noses in it and even try and paint us the fans as Bullys the way the media portrayed everything. "If you root for the Dolphins, you must be a pro-Incognito supporter" or whatever crap you let fall off the keyboard. It's a game to you all and a way to pass time but for us fans down here it is not quite as funny. And it really is a shame the way the media rushed to judgement on everything.

No matter what comes out of the media you spin it your way to make it seem like Miami fans need to be on their hands and knees praying Goodell and the NFL don't come down like a hammer on them. I'd appreciate it if moving forward you could just comment on the issue/media reports and leave the MOP out of it because I am not personally involved with this story, just observing and commenting like others.

You though are a fisherman like many other non Phinsfans who have posted up in here.

Yeah, because looking at naked women has everything to do with how you block (or in his case, don't block) a defensive end. I knew the Jonathan Martin fan club would find a way to spin even this news into it being somebody else's fault..
This was the OL meetings. What do you think other teams do in their O line meetings?? Probably things to make them better.

Check out TMZ. Looks like Incognito wasn't holding any guns to Martin's head to get him to the skrip clubs. :lmao:

Sounds like MOP is making a statement that is cousin to "She deserved it, look at how she was dancing that night". To the more sensible people in here, this picture says Martin had a good time at a strip club once. That's it.

I'm sure your fictional work will be more compelling. Fire away.

I never said "probably". I do not think though that this would be the first time in history that someone saw an opportunity and took advantage of a professional athlete. I suspect that it happens quite a bit. The possibility exists that it happened here. Not "probably", "possibly". Open mind.

If you continue to dismiss a sexual assault case as just media blowing things out of proportion, I will continue to call you out. That's all, just calling it like I see it.

It don't know what other teams do in OL meetings, and I don't know that just because it was at a strip club that they were not doing things to make them better as well as having a good time. Im not saying I would hold a business meeting at a strip club, but you assuming that Martin was so adamantly against it just because his lawyer may have intimated that he was after he threw his meatloaf onto the floor is irresponsible. Now we hear that several texts from JM himself contradict that theory, and the fan club still wants to find a way to spin it into being someone else's fault that JM sucked at football, which ultimately somehow led to him being hazed, and having to sue the NFL. Because he went to a strip club. All someone else's fault...not the golden boy, Jonathan Martin. Its the Dolphins fault that they allowed him to go to a strip club which led to him sucking. That's logical. And open-minded.

Once? That's sensible? How about, Martin appears comfortable in strip clubs?
This TROLL can take anything I post and twist it into something it's not. Look at how he quotes like I actually might have even said something like that.

I would go deeper with it but it only satisfies the nauseous cravings of mental masturbation this guy experiences as he fires all over his monitor. I wish you all would not quote him, most all Phinsfans have this loser on ignore.

Joe Bryant popped back in today, wish someone would alert him to this troll and run a review of all his posts the last 60-90 days, all troll like and all meant to try and alleviate his lack of a real life and wanting to strike back at the cruel world thru the faceless internet forums.

This stupid #### is trying to insinuate that I am PRO RAPE which is disgusting and deeply disturbing that the house rules here(FBG) would allow him to get away with that kind of posting.

Careful what you wish for MOP. You made a broad statement today with blaming the media for all the problems this season. There has been some fire to all this smoke; And to ignore the facts of a sexual harassment charge does raise a few eyebrows.

You said the same thing, almost verbatim, but substituted "hazing" for "sexual assault". Now the hazing BS is being exposed, so the high horse is being moved under a different flag now.

If my wife, daughter, sister, or friend was horribly violated by a wealthy man representing a very wealthy organization with witnesses, I personally would not accept some hush money settlement. I would go after the perpetrators to see that justice be served. Does it not raise even a hint of doubt (not that it happened, but of how horrible it actually was) that this never even reached the media until the bogus hazing allegations brought Richie into the media's spotlight? If she was truly horrifically violated, should she have not brought more attention to it? Shouldnt the witnesses have said something sooner? You will likely spin this as me being a sexual predator, as you spun me into a bully before, but that's not at all the case. I just don't automatically accept everything I hear without questioning it. There is usually more than one side to every story. You make the choice as to whether or not you want to consider that. In Richie's case, he probably has run out of benefit of the doubt points from most people, so it is easy (and understandable) to assume the worst.

Funny, the people claiming the media is to blame, are now posting TMZ articles to make their case.
It's so far down on the dumb posts list I wouldn't even try to educate you on why this is so silly. If the picture came from Joe Blow instead of TMZ, it wouldn't make a difference to you so stop trying to spin and twist everything.

Actually just keep doing the same thing you have been, makes it so much easier to dismiss all your posts.

Wash rinse repeat, I think I asked nicely for you to stop making it about me. And even when I asked you to because you view yourself as a good wholesome person, you try and defend it by saying "I'm calling you on it every time"…what are you calling me on exactly? Do I have some pull in the Shark Pool that I really need someone like you to hold me accountable? I can't make out what you mean because you are hellbent on taking every single little syllable I type and trying to skew it or twist it. I've asked nicely, I guess you could be the 1st person I put on ignore just for being a dip spit. I usually only put the ignore on for folks who blatantly disregard the house rules here and get into the name calling but there's a first for everything. I'm tired of explaining myself KC and actually I don't need to. You and many others that have been riveted by this story and want so desperately for it to stay relevant and in the news and now for whatever reason it seems to be personal for several of you, guess the holiday season is over now.

The Martin-Incognito stuff looks like it's going to slough off in the end.

However, the league, in general, seems to still have something to get in front of. The league looks vulnerable to some kind of a hostile-workplace lawsuit by a disgruntled player. Alternatively, the use of rookies/young players as virtual ATMs could turn into something negative for the league (lawsuit?).

This one time, it might be that the 'plaintiff' didn't quite have his own house in order enough to make a lawsuit any kind of a real threat. But the league's brass has got to be thinking that having to address these issues is a matter of 'when', not 'if'.

All good points Doug. I don't think Martin is going to be able to take down the NFL by himself but I do think Goodell will have a heavy hand in what happens with incoming rookies and also the camp messages being sent in June/July. You would like to think everyone knows what is likely to happen if you agree to pay for millions in the NFL or want the chance to make big money but unfortunately folks who have never even made a 6 figure income even once in their life want the NFL to be run like a local small business in their hometown.

The NFL is going to have to address this stuff in the off season and it will be interesting to see what Tedd Wells report says…of course that went from being generated in a week to a few weeks to a month to the end of the season to after the Super Bowl…we may never get to read the report, who knows?

I wasn't the one that started this thread. Or the one that posted the TMZ article. I guess that means you are riveted to the story. You have an agenda, it's obvious. I was just supporting the other side of the argument.

Guess I'm not welcome for beers anymore when I come to south beach.

I didn't inject the TMZ info, I simply went to find the article since someone else mentioned it and even then I wasn't the first to post it. It's a funny picture, it doesn't absolve anything but there is a pattern with Martin where he says one thing but there is evidence pointing in another. He himself took part in hazing which you and others dismiss as he had no choice. And that's the bottom line in all of this. I don't want to argue with you much because you view Martin a 300+ lb LT in the NFL as a victim and sacrificial lamb, it's a sexy POV to have, the polar opposite of what we think victims in harassment should look like. You all have turned Martin into a 36-24-36 model who is under the vicious abuse of grown men.

You are always welcome for beers but now you gotta pay for the 1st round.

So just more about MOP and nothing about the situation, got it. You all do a great job of showcasing the very things we are "crying" about.

The whole reason to use words like Phinsfans is take the personal parts out of it, you all on the other hand cannot stop yourselves.

Everyone should have said these 2 words to one 300+ lb former NFL OL several months ago after the meatloaf hit the fan...but if they had many on this board, you among them would have wanted them castrated for being so insensitive.

Careful what you wish for MOP. You made a broad statement today with blaming the media for all the problems this season. There has been some fire to all this smoke; And to ignore the facts of a sexual harassment charge does raise a few eyebrows.

You phins fans keep calling me a Martin fan. How did my comments, about a golf attendant being sexually assaulted, have anything to do with Martin? Other than he was the voice that finally put the spotlight on Incognito and the Dolphins wrong doings.

I could argue, this is why the phins fans hate Martin. Not because he is right or wrong, but because he exposed something you don't like.

I'm still waiting for the report like the rest of you.

Those were not the comments that led anyone to the belief that you were a Jonathan Martin fanboy. But nice try at spinning something unrelated to allow you to attempt to back track from where you so firmly used to stand. You have been screaming from the tallest Internet forum mountains about what a victim JM is, and how anyone who does not think that is an insensitive closed-minded idiot knuckledragging bully for the past 2 months. All based upon absolutely no firm evidence in a case that now appears to be the complete BS that some of us suspected all along. Sorry, but you are the one that painted yourself as a Martin fan to the point where you disparaged and insulted anyone who even dared question him. We are just the closed-minded idiot knuckledragging bullys that took notice of it.

WTF are you talking about? You keep bringing up the off field issues with the LG here. None of what the LG does or has done in the past which I'm sure there are many untold stories that would shock and awe but I bet the LT has some skeletons in his closet he wouldn't want out there, no one live a sin free life in this world.

It doesn't matter if one of these two individuals robbed kids of milk money in the schoolyard, it doesn't matter if one of them was an overachiever in the classroom, it doesn't matter if they show up on Sunday at Church and then go feed and clothe the homeless, all that matters is what happened between the two of them. Pulling all this circus sideshow stuff into it is exactly what the LT was hoping for and achieved for some of you.

Let me just let out all the dirty laundry I can find on this guy to make him look like a total tool, that's exactly what happened.

The one who had the finger pointed at him the most is no longer a Miami Dolphin and the person who did the finger pointing won't be one for long so i don't really give a #### what you think you deserve to discuss and what you think is relevant. There are war stories about the Dolphins going back to the early 70s but those guys no longer are employed by the Miami Dolphins and neither are these two chumps, one of them for sure, the other quit and doesn't want to return so I'll take his word for it. In my mind these guys are former Miami Dolphins.

We don't know any facts about the golf course. There is a difference between what could have been some drunken, over the top stupid flirting by an idiot, and sexual harassment.
In 2012, a police report was filed against the left guard for simple assault. Specifically, Incognito harassed a 34-year-old female volunteer at the team's annual "Fins Weekend Golf Tournament."

According to the report, the woman was working as a hole monitor at the event and while she was performing her duties, Incognito approached her, rubbed his golf club against her crotch and knocked a pair of sunglasses off her head. The woman said that Incognito had been drinking and was acting inappropriately.

"After that, he proceeded to lean up against her buttocks with his private parts as if dancing, saying 'Let it rain! Let it rain!'" the report stated. "He finally finished his inappropriate behavior by emptying bottled water in her face."

Now, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, Incognito paid "in the ballpark of" $30,000 to quietly settle the case.

Jackson adds that Incognito was called to the league office before the 2012 season to discuss not only the golf course incident but another instance of "misbehavior that was the result of drinking."
That is from November. We have a pretty good idea what went on. It was reported to police and to the league. The Dolphins were aware of it. Incognito paid the woman money and she subsequently stopped talking. Which parts of that are wrong?

Chuck - you continue to miss my stance on this entire topic. The truth about Martin will be determined by facts. But, there are people like yourself, MOP and Todem, that don't even want to hear what Martin has to say. In your mind, there is no possible way for Martin to be a victim, and therefor doesn't deserve to due process.

At the same time, he accused Incognito and the Dolphins organization of wrongdoing. Through facts, history and police reports, we have substantiated some of those accusations against Incognito (and the Dolphins to some degree) And learned of some new things

It only looks like I'm a Martin fanboy, because I don't have the same opinion as you.

What does this have to do with what happened between the LT/LG in October and also caused the LT to slam down his lunch tray before storming out? That was from 2012 and doesn't involve the LT here in any way. It seems like it was released to embarrass the organization as well as the person he had a problem with. It doesn't involve him personally.

The only point of this whole golf incident is to paint the LG as a DBag and I don't think any Miami Dolphin fans myself included have said much other than agree with you. You all are beating a dead horse, the girl settled for $30,000 so she must feel that was a reasonable amount of money for splashing water in her face and rubbing her crotch briefly while fully clothed with a golf club.

BTW: The fans were not at the golf event and were not aware of it until this past couple months, a good year after the incident took place so please aim your hate at the culprits, thanks.

Also a female has emerged in Dawn Aponte who is running things over at the Dolphins office so she must have had knowledge of all this and still felt it was alright to just pay the woman off. She has as much pull over there as anyone and knows everything that is going on. So a female paid off another female in all of this, just thought you all might like to keep that in mind while you weep over there and carry those harassment torches you keep thrusting in our faces.

One stance I don't miss from your posts is the stance that you take on your right to twist whatever you want out of any situation to make your point, even if it is completely inaccurate. When did any one of the people you listed say anything resembling the position that we don't want to hear what your boy has to say? It is so completely the opposite of that. We are all waiting patiently for him to say one thing that does not get contradicted or paint him as a hypocrite just looking for a way out with a payday. So far, that has not happened, yet others in this thread insist that Martin is the victim, and anyone who does not accept that as fact are victim-blamers, among all of the other names you have come up with to describe those who disagree with your defense of JM as the sad victim.

I don't miss your stance on this topic at all. You stand for defending the person you see as the victim. A worthy stance in most cases. In this case, I believe you are so dug in that you are wearing blinders, and refuse to see the truth because it contradicts the position you have taken all along. The irony is that through all of this, you have become the person that you have been blaming all along. The one calling people derogatory names, and alluding to their lack of intelligence because they disagree with your position...a position looking less and less stable by the day.

You are right on this point. We do know what happened from the victim's account. I actually believe all of it to probably be real close to the truth also. I can see him doing all of that. He is a moronic, immature, awkward D-Bag, and all of this behavior fits his personality. It is deplorable and disgusting that he would do that - especially at a team event. I am glad he is gone.

However, for those that compared this to rape...fail.

And we don't have the same opinion of you.

I have been nothing but respectful to you through this entire thread. I have stated numerous times. I don't believe what Martina is claiming to be nearly as bad as he wants everyone to think. However as I have stated several times...if indeed through the NFL's investigation serious wrongdoing was indeed done to Martin through physical abuse which he claims.....no place for that.

Mental abuse?

From the film Rocky Balboa when Rocky gives this fantastic speech to his excuse making son.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get up and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that!"

Absolute Money.

Martina is a wuss.....not cut out for the NFL......where the strong survive.

Go cry me a river about his workplace enviroment.....we are talking about barbarians....we are talking about giant men who beat the crap out of each other for a lot of money.

He could not hack some hazing? Some verbal jabbing that a ton of athletes have gone through at one time or another in their life? Your opinion relies on believing Martina's claims of such unreal verbal and physical abuse so disgusting and vile that he indeed is a victim.

Again....go cry me a river.

I don't believe at all that he was a victim......merely a wuss not cut out for the NFL where again.....only the mentally strongest survive......physically....you can't prevent injury.

But Martina's make up between the ears screams of a flake.....I have seen them, played with them, know them.

He is a flake.

Cry me a river and get lost. Go find another profession to work in Martina.....this is not for you. But he is a coward....not willing to accept his own failures as an NFL Linemen. Cowards point fingers. Cowards run from adversity, cowards get killed in the foxhole.

Winners.....take what life throws at them and rises above, overcomes. I guarantee you that if Martina was a good LT this thread would have never exsisted.

Ever.

But he is acting and doing what a growing number of losers in this great country do. He quit, placed blamed and is now suing.

Victim. Yeah right.

Prove it.

The report being delayed until after the Super Bowl is just PR on the league's part in my view. The league delayed the release before the report was completed. For PR purposes they don't want any bad news from the report mixing with playoff, Super Bowl, and new coach stories. I don't blame them for that. I also don't think it has anything to do with the content of the report.

I bet you are super frustrated with MOP calling me names on the reg.

I'm curious, do you think I'm one of the people that think Martin is a victim?

You very may well be right. And if it is indeed a trainwreck.....I will stand to be corrected.

I can own up if I am wrong in my assumption like KC and others can hopefully also own up in their assumptions.

Because that is all we are doing here......making assumptions and talking about it. It's not personal. If I were not a Dolphins fan...I would never even follow this story.

MTS -

I could care less if anyone calls you names. Its nothing personal. I think you are a troll. I find some of your posts amusing, and I am not at all in any way bothered by them. I would never ignore you, because you occasionally make me laugh. I don't get the impression that you really believe much of what you post, but rather that you most often post just to stir the pot or get a reaction. Its easy to get a reaction from the Fins fans on this topic, so you are going after the low hanging fruit - as I would if my goal was to get a strong reaction. I respect your approach as a troll.

If I was a Dolphins fan I'd be a lot less alarmed now than I would have been when the story broke. It's already clear what's happening for the most part ---- Incognito, Martin, and Ireland won't be part of the Dolphins any more; it looks like Philbin is staying; the Dolphins need help on the O-line.

Then you could at least agree that you are bias?

You must have a short memory, because I made this exact statement weeks ago. If Martin is wrong in his claims, then he deserves any negative effects as a result.
