Dolphins at Jets (1 Viewer)

Miami 1st drive.

1st down, Miami in the I-Formation...8 in the box, Bush was wrapped up.

2nd down, quick hitch to Bush, 5-6 yds, Jets the called offsides and Miami had a 1st down.

1st down, THill threw a bad pass to Thomas in the flat.

2nd down Bush runs thru a nice hole by Pouncy, manages to straightarm Cromartie, pics up another 15 yd penalty after about a 20+ yd run,

1st down, Hits Hartline on the right side, Cromartie was off on the sidelines, easy hook up to Hartline for a 1st down.

1st down, Miami in a 3 wide, Gafney on the play, Bush takes it left side and scoots up for about 5 yards.

Cromartie is still on the sidelines, looks like a chance for Hartline to make some noise if things stay that way...lot of chippy after talk from both teams right now.

3rd down, 5 wide, Thomas and Fasano part of the 5. Hartline up the right sideline but the pass was thrown well out of bounds. Hartline gave up on the route as well...FG time

Solid opening drive by Miami. Mix of short passes and Bush runs. Big play was probably a nice Bush run where he gave Cromartie a big stiff arm to the helmet at the end. Bush then followed it up with some trash talking at the end and Cromartie got ticked off and shoved Bush when both were already out of bounds and the play was over. Personal foul put MIA in FG position. FG MIA. Cromartie getting checked out on the sideline. Maybe a hand injury.

Excellent post Rob

2nd drive for Miami, Jets yet to have the football.

1st down: Charles Clay, incomplete tight window.

2nd down: Daniel Thomas: Left side behind Incognito, 5 yds

3rd down: 5 wide, Bush on the field, THill is sacked as Calvin Pace untouched...THill is limping :(

Marlon Moore was right on top of the football but tripped all over himself as he fell into the end zone, golden pop to pin the Jets in at about the 1 yard line...typical Miami, not cashing in when they have the chance.

Big opportunity squandered there for the Phins. Tannehill limped off the field.
Hey Slap, the new younger athlete these days, can't tell if they are really hurt or just need some Soccer Spray to make the boo boo go away. not sure Marino would have been limping...of course he probably would have gotten rid of the ball. Pretty bad when a LB comes in and sacks you that easily from the side you can see clearly.

That was an unfortunate series of events. Then MIA cover guy falls down and blows an easy chance to down the punt inside the five. Of course the seeing-eye ball bounces just inside the pylon for a touchback.

Jets 1st drive...

1st down, Greene was stuffed, Clemons stuffed him so Miami must have been pinching up and playing the run.

2nd down short pass on the left side

3rd down, not even close to Kerley

PUNT

Marlon Moore is on the field...that's not terrible although he surely has not been working with the 1st team or gotten many snaps in practice. The good news is he knows these players well and started a lot of games last year. Will be interesting if her an take them down the field if Miami would opt to keep him in.

THill is riding a bike on the sidelines so he can't be that injured, maybe a light sprain or possible hyperextension of the knee IMO.

Ref went to throw the flag on 3rd down for Bess working up the left sideline but ended up tucking it back in :jawdrop: Fouts said it was unbelievable

Stephen Hill target 1st down left sideline, Sean Smith knocked it down, made a very nice play.

2nd down, 3 wide right side...shift back to split I, Greene left side and is stuffed...3rd down coming.

3rd down 5 wide...all day to throw, finds Keller underneath for a 1st down. OLine should get all the credit, I could have found an open receiver with 7 seconds to throw.

1st down, Greene tries the right side, Burnett throws him down for 3 yds, Starks limps off the field :(

2nd down and Sanchez takes a shot from an unblocked McDaniel, Incomplete pass

3rd down and long, Sanchez gobbled up on a delayed blitz by Jimmy Wilson

PUNT BLOCKED! TD MIA

Jimmy Wilson on the sack, then blocks the punt for a TD recover by Olivier Vernon...Miami should be up 10-0. Jets are in trouble as Sanchez having to throw from behind is not their game. Greene looks very ineffective on the ground right now.

Jets 3rd drive of the game...

1st down: Greene left side for 3 yds

2nd down: Tebow in motion, was wide open going up the left sideline but Sanchez never looked at him, found Keller underneath for 4 yds.

3rd down: 5 wide, Kerley underneath for about 5 yds, 1st down.

Quick note: Jets are not even trying to launch it downfield, at some point they gotta try a pass over 15 yds...as I am typing they load up to go long and Sanchez is sacked, stripped, Miami recovers the football.

Miami set up in Jets territory

1st down: Thomas takes the carry for a short gain up the middle.

2nd down: Bess quick curl left side, shakes the DB, gets a 1st down.

1st down: Hartline wide open streaking across the middle, Moore fired it in there perfect pass in rhythm.

1st and goal: Thomas takes the carry, went nowhere, I don't like this call, give it to Bush for goodness sake coming out of a big timeout, he can't be tired.

2nd and goal: Fasano just barely out of bounds for a TD, just missed, play under review. Will not be overturned.

If Miami can score a TD on 3rd and goal, would really open this up and I don't think THill will be back, they are saying possible knee injury now.

Daniel Thomas stumbles in for Touchdown, he broke a couple tackles, went under a defender, was a pretty solid goal line run, definitely what you want to see from your RB.

Right. He hasn't been playing well but that was a good run.

Miami has scored 14 off Jets' turnovers, New York in self destruct mode right now. I would never call a game in the 1st half but they are going to have to really do something special to get back in this. Miami will be pounding the ball and I expect Thomas and Lamar Miller at some point to pound out the rest of the game. I can't see them exposing Bush to any unnecessary punishment in the 2nd half.

Miami has NY on their heels, they are set up at their own 23, so far in these kind of situations with a lead, Miami plays it safe. Opp for the Jets to hold Miami to 3 and out, get the ball back in decent field position.

With big lead, windy weather, and backup QB in will Philbin go conservative here?
:hifive: again, we think alike. Miami is picking up 1st downs, nailed it to Bess and Hartline on this drive, Moore looks very confident. Hartline 4 receptions already for not a lot of yds.

Sanchez is jumping around in the pocket now, misfires to Greene short over the middle. Sanchez is really off target today, just horrible.

3rd down to Keller, incomplete, several receivers in the same area. Who is calling the shots on offense? ;)

I don't see how Sanchez finishes this game. Another Miami TD and they might have to make a change even if only for the rest of the game. Tebow does have some success on his resume against Miami.

For anyone wondering about Tannehill, IMO if Matt Moore were injured, Tennehill would come back into the game. Short of that he is down for the day.
