Donald Driver trades in your league? (1 Viewer)

I own Driver in one league and there is no open interest in him. He is a guy that produces, but doesn't have the big name value.

If I read it correctly, the previous poster moved Driver + A. Smith for Kitna? Thats a very poor trade, imho. Maybe you hate the Packers, but why basically give away a 1100-1200 yd receiver?

because i think he is unreliable this year... i needed a qb and driver wouldnt get a better qbheck, i think favre will possible get hurt (i know that is impossible based on his history) after watching the eagles game and then driver would be absolutely useless

Driver is, as always, underated. I happen to have him, wouldnt trade him because he is one of those players for whom you just can't seem to get fair value.

i think kitna is turning around and as he learns the offene will only get better

again, if you were trading dfriver for a qb what do you think you could get?

i could have had delhomme (didnt want him), plummer (again, no), drew brees (have colston and bush already and dont want too many saints)

i dont think driver is underrated.. i think he is overrated on the fbg top 250

Obviously you dont think Driver is underated. You gave him away for a mid tier QB with upside. A top 10-15 WR is usually valued considerably more than the same tier of QB in most scoring systems. Obviously everyone has their own opinion and strategy, though.If I were in a one QB league, I wouldnt trade Driver for anything less than a Hasselbeck type QB. If I couldnt get that, I wouldnt trade Driver for a QB. Single QB leagues just have so much less value for QB in most cases because you can play matchups and such since you only start one.

:no: That just doesn't make sense. Kitna is on my Waiver Wire (12 team redraft). No ofense Man you got to run your team the way you want, and I don't know your scoring but I can't figure that one outI offered Driver and TJones for Fitz
 
Just traded Issac Bruce + Grossman for Donald Driver.

TD only league (I have Vick & McNabb at QB already). Basically, Driver for Bruce on my end.

:yes: he's a permanent buy low. hes just not flashy. but him if you can. don't sell him. you'll never get the value.

I know all too well. Until this year, I never gave Driver his due. This year, I still wasnt that high on him, but at my draft he just dropped and dropped. So I am guilty of underating him, but as long as Favre is there, Driver will be a top 15 WR with a shot at top 10.BTW, Jennings has a chance at top 15 too imo, and very outside but legit chance at top 10-12. Again, it comes down to Favre and his gunslinging.
 
Gave Mason and Foster for Driver.

I have Jackson, KJones and Maroney so just didn't need Foster.

Team that had Driver has Shaun Alexander.

Former Packer coach Sherman had the same shrewd eye for evaluating talent. Smith was putting up respectable numbers until his Te & Rb got dinged. His upside is very good. Kitna is a journeyman who should have a good year but not a great year. Driver is a top 15 Wr no matter who the Packer Qb is.

I'm trying to hit a HR with the deal, hoping Moss returns to stardom. If not Driver is my #3 wr behind Holt and Fitzgerald in a keeper league...so I'll live without him

 
After week 2 I was ready to trade Gates + Rod Smith for LJ Smith + D. Driver.. but didn't get the deal done. People were telling me I was stupid for wanting that trade.. I dunno .. Gates looks like crap with Rivers throwing to him and Driver should produce all year. I really doubt I can get the same deal now. I keep hearing how Rivers will get better at throwing to Gates but I'm starting to get impatient. Driver looks excellent tho .. I'd love to have him on my roster.

I have always liked moss, and i am assuming this is randy moss, but that situation in oakland is brutal. Bad o line, bad qbs, and he had 1 catch vs Cleveland. Not cutting it. Ive also heard he doesnt care about this team and how he wants to get traded and it looks like hes not giving his all. Just a tough situation all around. At least with driver, you have some consistency and favre is much better than any qb oak has.
 
I dropped Favre in three of my leagues.

1. He won't last the season due to injury or when they lose a few more game Roger's is coming in.

On the flip side I have aquired Green and Morency in all of my leagues. :bag:

This will never happen. Favre will continue to start unless he blows his knee out or something. If Bret is healthy he will start every game.
 
I traded WParker and ABryant

for

JJones and DDriver.

I own Barber and Favre....and needed help at WR. I'm hoping that Favre/Driver combo will be big down the stretch.

 
In a dynasty where RB's get no PPR, WR's get 1 & TE's get 2 (start any combo of 6 RB/WR/TE), I traded

It's no longer a homerun, it's now a headache (has been for 2 years now). Moss is a shell of his former self and you would simply be paying for the name. I'd take Driver over Moss in a heartbeat.
 
For those that traded Driver for Kitna or flat out dropped Driver can you please include me in your league next year?

Update: This deal went through this morning. The other owner accepted uncharacteristically quickly which has me questioning how wise the move was.

Personally I think you gave up too much. Driver is almost a wash with Boldin in my eyes, and FWP blows Jordan away.But if you have RB depth and are targeting Jordan for the playoffs, could be a shrewd move in the end.

Perhaps. If Westbrook can get off the trainer's table, I won't have to worry about using Jordan. But FWP has been tremendously underwhelming this year. He's had one good game and that was against Cincy who can't stop anyone. I know I got the better talent in the deal.
 
Gave up RBrown WR and FTaylor RB in a start 3 WR redraft.

Got DDriver and VMorency. Should go nicely with Chad and RWayne.

 
Gave up Ronnie Brown and Donald Driver

Got Willie Parker and TJ Housmandzadeh (to go with Larry JOhnson and Fitzgerald/DJax).

kitna- journeyman, not great, will have an ok year-not great. Truth of the matter- the guys on pace to throw for 4000 yards, and who heard of green, bulger, warner- all guys who put up pretty good qb numbers under martz

driver- not great, dont like him, not a stud, losing to jennings. Truth is he is one of the most targeted, has great target-to-catch ration, all he does is produce, everytime he gets knocked down he gets back up and in a ppr league he has serious value- even with bad game he still has better number than fitz and bouldin.

my league is filled with good ff guys, but half of them get stuck on names

The Kitna thing is not a name. Yes, he has a lot of upside in that system because of Martz. But, he is a QB. If you are in a one QB league, that devalues the position immensly to the point where only the top 2-3 QBs really hold much value while the rest are almost interchangeable, especially if you have a couple decent ones on your roster and play matchups.
 
Just traded FOR Driver, CBuck (handcuff), Dillon

Gave up SMoss, JLewis, ATL D

I see Driver and Moss about equal, with Driver having a better schedule the rest of the way. So I don't feel like I gave up much to upgrade slightly from Lewis to Dillon and add my #1 RB's handcuff.

Man, that is horrible so far on the year! I stand corrected. :no: Guy's got Oakland, Cleveland x2, N.O., T.B., Carolina, and Cinnci again (albeit week 17). Up to Big Ben playing well whether he gets good #'s vs. the tough matchups. If any team, regardless of how good they are, has to respect the Pitt pass, that O-line can and will impose it's will on them. :shrug: guess we'll have to wait and see.
 
before week 4 I traded Thomas Jones / Ced Benson / LJ Smith for Driver and crap. I had Gates as my TE, plenty of RB's with LT2/TBell/Maroney/Dillon, and needed WR help Harrison and nobody

I still like it long term

GB has juicy fantasy playoff matchups...don't forget!

driver may be good.. You are right that only a top 3-4 QB has HIGH value in a 1 QB league.But I would argue a top 6-8 WR has top value as well, below that the value drops off...The difference between a 12th best WR and 24th best is 3 ppg or so which isnt huge.Driver has been ranked 10-14 the past few years. I have more reason to think he will end up below 14 than I do to think he will be better than 10 or in the top teir of WR. (Favre decline, emergence of Jennings, etc)Plus now Driver is banged up (which I heard mention of before the trade)...I dont think the trade was so bad.A steal? no
