The luck factor averages out over a 13-14 game season. But 1 week can ruin you in the playoffs, and it's a part of the game. Of course, no one ever complains when they're the underdog and steal a win.

It's an unfortunate part of H2H leagues, but it comes with the added excitement.

The skill is always in getting to the playoffs. You can't control luck, but week to week it averages out, and if you're good, you usually make the playoffs.

To blame someone for your loss is silly, because the crazy unpredictable happenings are just the nature of the game. No one is going to come out and predict that Geno Smith outdoes most of the FF elite in the championship week. Bryce Brown was someone's desperation play at Flex, and he hit big. If you can't deal with that, don't play.

And as others have said, what about all the help you got from FBG? I love when I see people tweeting all the FF guys blaming them for their "bad" calls. "That idiot told me not to play Asiata!!" You can't predict those things. You do the best you can with the information at hand. It's a lot like a poker game. Are you going to stop using a certain brand of cards when you lose at the final table?

I won in my 2 big money leagues. Most points in one and sb in the other. And it wasn't BC if fbg.

I was one of te worst teams in my dynasty league. Embarrassment. And it wasn't BC of fbg.

At the end of the day it's luck and your skill combined that earns you fantasy glory. You can't blame anyone or anything else.

The guys at fbg don't know everything and don't have a crystal ball. They are wrong. A lot. So is everyone else. They are just a little less wrong than everyone else BC they know a lot about ff

Hey that's a great slogan for fbg marketing:

"FBG - when it comes to fantasy football, we'll help you win championships because we're just a little less wrong than everyone else!"

Somehow won my division at 7-6. Got a 1st round bye. J Charles goes nuts, I'm in the championship game. I sit brady and start Dalton, winner. I owe it all to FBGs :lmao:

Eta :ptts: I've been a paying member since ole yeller. It's $30 bucks. Live a little. And with these crazy inner nets all the info is already out here anyway, and I still pay. :lmao:

I'm going to lose in a championship game. I'm a FBG subscriber and I had a free PFF subscription this year from signing up for a daily league. I used both pretty evenly. If you were me, which one would you whine about like a little ##### and quit?

 I've always done better the years I didn't subscribe vs did subscribe.

This year I was not a subscriber: playoffs in 7 of 9, won 3 leagues. Saved $30

I'm done with footballguys too. I made it to 3 of 4 championship games this season but will loose at least 2 of the 3 and maybe the 3rd tonight as well.

Unacceptable.

Well I apologize for my rant and as I woke up this morning thanks to lesean McCoy I am only down 8 with niners defense going and my opponent is done.

Apologize for the rant. I hate losing

Looks like it's time to slap some money down on Atlanta tonight!

It's hard to assign blame on a fantasy advice website for your week 15 or week 16 failure. I fell flat on my face this year, despite averaging 150 pts both weeks, (league average was ~125 pts/week all year). I don't think FBG's failed to prognositcate anything in those final two weeks. Those of us who had terrific rosters rode out the season on the backs of our studs and in some cases those studs let us down.

Speaking for myself, it sucks to finish wire to wire points leader and out of the money for even the measley 3rd place prize. My team is very strong, better than anyone elses team, and yet it did not win me any money.

Sometimes you run into the buzz saw and when that happens, just take your medicine and come back strong next year. To the winners out there, don't get too high on your victory. Luck plays a much bigger role than we'd like to think.

QB - Wilson Rodgers nassib

RB - McCoy lacy

WR - Marshall, Floyd

TE - graham cook

DEF - niners

K - varied each week

IDP - bobby Wagner

14 team league. Finished highest in points and finished second best record 9-4.

You couldn't have posted this last night? I was ####### tossing and turning all night worried about your team.

Thank Heavens. You came back.

"Servants, slaughter the fattest pig. Get the finest wine ready. Drummers, guitars, get ready. Clappers! Start clapping.

The Prodigal Son has returned!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem is that you are buying into the silliness that FBG has a magic formula for winning. I am about 98% certain that I do just as well - maybe better - without their pay service.

And certainly they are not to blame for your losses - and probably not for your wins either.

Championships don't always go to the best team. That's just the reality of ff. You'll stress out much less about it once you understand that.
Actually it goes like this.

'Your best teams aren't always your good teams'..... or maybe it was.... 'your good teams are not always your best teams'.

so you only apologized because now you have a realistic shot of winning . . .

this thread only gets better.

I need 22 from niners otherwise I would be thoroughly rooting against their DST tonight. Can't stand the whining.

So you didn't even watch McCoy play last night when it is Championship week, what type of a fantasy football'er are you...you don't sound very dedicated.

Anyone else praying that the Niners D gets 7 points tonight?

Let's use the collective mind power of FBG to ensure the SF D lays a dud.

Well...Im hoping they get about 50 tonight...cause between them and Dawson thats what I need.

But if they don't get that...which they won't...7 sounds about right.

I don't know why a person "needs" FBGs to be successful. Learn to stand on your own two feet and quit blaming everyone else when you fail. I've always come from the school of succeeding on my own merits rather than have someone else do it for me and I take the credit. If I fail I have no one else to blame except myself and maybe the football Gods.

I read footballguys.com therefore I deserve a championship.

When I read footballguys.com and I do not win a championship it is footballguys.com's fault.

Life is grand.

I am about to lose in the championship for the fourth time in 8 years. I will be 0-4 in the title game. Well footballguys has helped me get here, they haven't been able to help me get a title. I am done with them.

Okay, so I've been a part of the FG forums for about a half a year now.....I still don't get this "emoticon/object" thing or when or why people use it. I've never picked up on the context in which it's used.

Can somebody explain this to me?
