It's a big defensive playmaker IMO.
They have a lot of holes on defense, and with Gold probably being gone next year as well, they will have another one at LB. The Broncos were not happy with their LB play and told Wilson and Gold exactly that. They thought Wilson had more trade value, so they tried to unload him. But they screwed up on him being injured. But they can't afford to get rid of both Gold and Wilson in the same offseason, so Gold is sticking around for another year to basically prove himself.
The only defensive starters currently that I honestly expect to be back next year are Champ, Bly, DJ, and probably Warren. Ekuban is a FA, the DT next to Warren is vacant, the other DE is vacant (although most expect Dumervil to start), Wilson is gone, Gold is probably gone, Lynch has 1-2 years left, and the other safety spot is up in the air.
I think they will move up to get Jamaal, Okoye, Branch (despite all the rumors I still expect him to go top 15), Willis, or Landry. If they can't get one of those players I expect them to trade down from 21 or trade the first for a player (Briggs, Rogers, or something and not necessarily straight up).
