Sweetness believes that about himself, too. Think about that for a while.
Sure...but Ive read his posts. And I don't think Im nearly as bad as him.

I admit my team's faults...he is completely incapable of that.

Not just any Bears fan though...this one is special.
He's like the sho nuff of Bears fans.
That might be the worst insult anyone has ever said to me.Im pretty bad and post alot...but I am nowhere near the brain dead homer this guy is (despite what you may try and claim).
Disagree. Spot on.

There is a shock.I won't even try asking for proof of such buffoonery either...anytime I have, its been nothing but crickets.

:goodposting: And for whatever sweetness does in regards to being more of a 'blind homer' than sho, sho makes up for it by never walking away from being fished. The amount of hooks in that guys mouth is off the charts. I'm anxiously waiting for him to choke on one so he puts himself out of his unrealized misery.

I doubt sweetness believes much of anything given his posts here and at FFT.And unlike him...I don't run from my posts. I stand up, admit when I have been wrong...and as I said, can actually find faults with my team.

He seems completely incapable of any of that.

As for Limp Ditka...grow the heck up man.

Seriously...if I bother you that much...don't read it.

How about taking some of your own advice? You can be the better man and just walk away or you can keep proving my point. I don't care which one it is, because IMO, I win either way.

When you enter this thread it's to mock Sweetness_34, not each other. Can you guys start your own thread to continue your slap fight? Please stay on task.

Yep it happens. Had a draft the other week where 49er D went in round 5. Round 9, 7 kickers were drafted in a 10 team league, I mean really? This is called a so called "winners" league. I was more than happy to wait on kickers and D until my last few rounds. I didnt take D and cut my K straight after the draft to pick up guys to watch in pre-season. The guy who drafted AP in the 2nd didnt get Gerhart as I picked him up in the 2nd to last round.Oh I had the 1st overall pick.1. (1) Arian Foster RB2. (20) Victor Cruz WR3. (21) Greg Jennings WR4. (40) Steven Jackson RB5. (41) Antonio Gates TE6. (60) Peyton Manning QB7. (61) Stevie Johnson WR8. (80) Isaac Redman RB9. (81) Torrey Smith WR10. (100) David Wilson RB11. (101) Ben Tate RB12. (120) Neil Rackers K13. (121) Titus Young WR14. (140) Toby Gerhart RB15. (141) Danny Amendola WRI snagged Kevin Smith off waivers too.
Looking pretty good here.

Week 1 Win (1-0) 3rd

Da Bearssss had the third-highest score in the league this week with 128.26 points.

If Da Bearssss had played every team in the league this week, they would be 9-2.
Week 2 Win (2-0) ???
Da Bearssss would have beaten only two other teams besides CutlerTICEEEE rockss this week.

Da Bearssss won while scoring the fewest total points of any winning team in the league this week.

If Da Bearssss had played every team in the league each week, they would be 12-10.
Week 3 Loss (2-1) 6th
Da Bearssss scored 104.40 points against a projected 128.37 and has underachieved every week this season.

Da Bearssss would be 16-17 if they played every team every week.
Week 4 Win (3-1) 4th
Da Bearssss would have beaten only three other teams besides Da BoyZ this week.

If Da Bearssss had played every team in the league each week, they would be 20-24.
Week 5 Loss to the chick he mocked (3 - 2) 6th
Da Bearssss (3-2) would be 1-3 if they played the same schedule as mama's 49er faithful (2-3).

Da Bearssss would be 25-30 if they played every team every week.
Week 6 Win (4-2) 4th
Da Bearssss would have beaten every other team in the league this week.

Antonio Gates had 26.10 points, the highest TE score of the week and the third-highest TE score in the league this season

With 39.10 points, Jordy Nelson had the highest WR score of the week and the third-highest WR score in the league this season.

If Da Bearssss had played every team in the league each week, they would be 36-30.
Week 7 Win (5-2) 4th
Da Bearssss would have beaten nine other teams besides Borilla's Gorillas this week.

The 150.88 points scored by Da Bearssss is their highest score of the season and the seventh-highest in the league this season.

Da Bearssss would be 45-32 if they played every team every week.
Week 8 Loss (5-3) 4th
Da Bearssss would have lost to seven other teams besides JustWinBaby this week.

With 97.02 points, Da Bearssss had their lowest output of the season.

Da Bearssss would be 48-40 if they played every team every week.
Week 9 Loss (5-4) 6th

If they played every team every week, Da Bearssss would be 51-48.
Week 10 Loss (5-5) 6th
Besides Abe's Aces, Da Bearssss would have been defeated by six other teams this week.

If they played every team every week, Da Bearssss would be 55-55.

Here is my personal favorite part of this thread:

After the draft

One team (49 er homer) actually drafted as follows from 1.09:

Stafford => Greg Jennings => Frank Gore => San Fran D (yes in the 4th round) => Vernon Davis => Vincent Jackson => David Akers => Andrew Luck => Mike Tolbert => Mario Manningham => Gresham => Houston D => Laurent Robinson => Dexter McCluster => Burleson => Mike Nugent => Bernard Scott

I am still staring at her team on the screen completely perplexed at the incompetency of FF drafting. If this team above wins it all, I will never ever play FF again....I mean it.
Before the Week 5 matchup
And I am guaranteed to go 4-1 this week because I play that awful team that drafted the Niners D and all Niners players .... her team is as follows for my match up (and I was told earlier in this thread....bored to go find it now....that I had no chance against that team either)....and this team is 1-3 .... while so many shark told me she had a better team than me ....

Stafford - Bye

Vincent Jackson - Bye

Greg Jennings - Out?

Frank Gore - Buf

Joique Bell - Bye

vernon Davis - Bye

Burleson - Bye

Mike Tolbert - Sea

Laurent Robinson - Out vs Chi

McCluster - Balt

Manningham - Buf

Luck - GB

Gresham - Mia

Akers - Buf

Nugent - Mia

San Fran D - Buf

Houston D - NYJ
Would be interesting to see how your team stacks up with the female 49er fan. Keep us posted. Actually, don't.
3-1 vs 1-3.... have a nice day!
How come the chick who has a better roster than me is 1-3, I am 3-1 and she is soon to be 1-4 as I go 4-1 after I beat her with half my starting team....I guess it is because you suck at FF
Results of the week 5 matchup: Week 5 Loss (3 - 2)Results through week 10:

Da Bearssss (5-5)

mama's 49er faithful (4-6)

I'm waiting for the post from Sweetness as to how his squad of unknowns and underdogs underperformed this week due to some BS excuse.

55-55 all-play record against a bunch of "guppies". I guess the league is a perfect fit for him.

Give the guy a break. There is nothing wrong with playing in a league with people at his own skill level.

This is one of the best parts of this thread. This chicks draft was straight up better than deadbearasses

One of my favorite threads I've seen on FBG pretty much ever. So many classic mistakes.....

1) Bragging about getting caught in the middle of a QB run in the first round: Check

2) Grossly over-exaggerates how good his team is when he drafted exactly one starting RB that I would have played at the beginning of the year: Check

3) Drafts a kicker in a round that is not the final round: Check

4) Drafts 2(!) defenses he could have likely gotten from waivers: Check

5) Leaves thread midseason when he finds out his team is actually not as good as he thought: Check

Anyone who has played Fantasy Football for any significant amount of time whatsoever knows not to brag about a team they drafted before the year begins. Hyped players flop. Players that others leave for dead turn out to be not nearly as bad as people predict. QBs regress, WRs see an increase in targets, etc etc etc.

I don't even start bragging about my team until after bye weeks are done, and even then only to my league mates and only if I'm dominating. So many things can destroy your team that you thought was so good at the time while other people who you think are "guppies" outperform you with what you initially project as a bad team. I honestly hope you learned your lesson with this post, though I wouldnt mind seeing another like this next year when you draft in the same league and fall on your face :)

Why has it taken me until Week 10 to read thru this thread?

Pure gold in here...on many levels!

Keep up the good work guys!

Here I was all down about my fantasy season so far and along comes this thread to make everything...well...better. Thank you, thread.

Special thanks to all those who made this possible.

while I get the reaction to someone posting that they cleaned up at a guppy draft, I still think you could do a lot worse that this heading down the stretch:

QB: Brees

RB: Forte, Morris

WR: Jordy Nelson, Demaryus Thomas, Amendola

TE: Antonio Gates

that is a championship contender in a 12 team league. now that BYEs are done for this team, I would not be shocked ot see them run the table.

Funny stuff here. Can't believe I haven't opened this thread till now. People are really piling on the poor guy here so I kind of feel sorry for him but he set himself up. Coming off as a braggart, people enjoy seeing you fail.

I will add my own "guppy" story: I once invited my mother to join a league which I was commish of several years back. It was a free league and just for fun and she certainly isn't a magic football guru by any stretch but agreed just for the entertainment value. I provided her a cheatsheet to use at the draft (from FBG actually). She did not make a single waiver move all year. My mother won the Superbowl! Then she promptly retired from fantasy football a champion, LOL. Moral of the story: Don't crown yourself among guppies before they play the games.

Don't feel sorry for him. He's an #######.

I was a complete guppy last year and almost won a sixteen-teamer. I still consider myself a guppy, albeit much more versed in magic football now.

Anybody have what the head-to-head record would be for Sweetness vs that 49ers team if they played every week? Just curious :)

Would be some kind of awesome if she got the last playoff spot over him based on head-to-head record :)

-QG

You want a good headache....get into a guppies league and I guarantee you will not know what to do when it is your turn to draft. Tonight I had my draft with a league that I am in for many years now. It is friends from work and we have a great time....but the value that falls in these drafts and the mistakes that are made are hilarious.
looks like the guy nailed it, to me
