Drew Brees dislocated left elbow (1 Viewer)

What is the recovery time for this, typically?
Depends on the severity of the injury. Simple or complex?, complete dislocation or partial? Whether surgery will be required? Worst case, like 4-6 months.
Yeah, I guess there are a lot of factors to consider. I dislocated my elbow and one of my teammates did as well. No surgery for either of us. Both were cleared for contact in 2-3 weeks, but it took a few additional weeks of rehab to be able to straighten in out. Not a big deal for a DT, for example; but a QB does have to straighten his arm on handoffs.

I mean I doubt it's complex ie broken ulna, humerus, radius, so the recovery will probably be pretty quick. Month or two maybe if he doesn't need surgery.

Drew Brees dislocated his left elbow in the Pro Bowl Saturday.

He throws with his right. CBS has confirmed that Brees didn't suffer a fracture, so he should be fine in time for offseason team activities.

Brees should be fine - this one's not serious.

Pro Bowl should definitely be canceled. I'd much rather watch these guys play golf, or better yet, compete in some non-football talent competition. Fact is that I know these guys are great players, but the game doesn't demonstrate it. I'd rather see some other aspect of their personality then not watch a game and pray that none of these great gets hurt.

Shouldn't we be bumping him up given how last year's season-ending injury worked out this year? I'm just sayin'.

T Suggs is a freaking thug. he should have been benched after going for Brees head the first time, let alone going low on the second time (which resulted in Brees dislocating his elbow). Guy deserves some revenge for his BS play.

Not golf. But something like those old NBC (or was it ABC?) Superstars shows would be good. Some basketball shooting, swimming, weight-lifting, 100m dash, bike racing, and that obstacle course finale. I remember Mark Gastineau was a surprisingly good swimmer, but Roger Craig lifted almost as much weight as Gastineau. Those things were fun to watch.

I seriously have no idea why they play the pro bowl. Does anyone care? I can see basketball and baseball all star games because those are non contact sports, but why risk an injury in a game no one cares about? (Including the players).

Wasn't funny the first time.

OMG a golf tournament would be WAY better...
