Corey Davis is still available in my 12 team standard league.  2RB/2WR/1 Flex. Would you drop Burkhead to pick him up?

My WRs: Baldwin, Hogan, Parker, Coleman, Bryant

RBs: Elliott, Cohen, Abdullah, Powell, Burkhead, Kamara

Mack, Perine, Breida, Foreman, McFadden are also hanging out on the waiver wire

Thanks!

I should give you grief for posting that here, but yes, easily yes.

Davis got 10 targets last week and barely touched a practice field all offseason.

He/She's posted only 16 times.  Go easy on the grasshopper.

...oh, and yes, drop Burkhead for Davis.

Yes, this was posted in the wrong forum, but I'll try to turn the conversation into something more broadly applicable: You should pick Davis up because he has WR2 upside (I guess it's possible he could even be a WR1, but I think rookies are generally too inconsistent for that). Burkhead, meanwhile, has his upside severely limited by the RBBC he's in. He'll have better weeks than what he did vs KC, but absent one, possibly two, injuries to other NE RBs, it's unlikely you'll be able to start him with much confidence.

What you want on your bench early in the season is a) solid, reliable guys who can fill in on bye weeks, and b) high-upside guys who may eventually become every-week starters. Burkhead is neither, and Davis may already be both.

Burkhead is scheduled to get all of Edelman's targets in the slot.   Or not.

Belicheck is like an open book with all the pages whited out.
